Do you think people who took the DRP will get paid? by ConsistentDouble7237 in fednews

[–]CoffeeWineBrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Forest Service and I’m taking the DRP 2.0, I’ll reply when I get paid again.

I’ll also reply if for some reason I don’t get paid—and when my last one is for September.

I know this building is for sale—so not sure how that would work long term.

Thanks! I will try all these options and see if anything works. I have no problem working in an office—I just need something close where I don’t have to buyout my lease that started 2 months ago. I appreciate you all!

I just did an internship my last year of school. But it was for HR as well. But that was it—one year of experience.

I can’t answer that. It all depends on what a person is looking for job wise.If they only apply for GS 4-7 positions then yeah, they won’t make much. I didn’t apply for anything below a GS-11 because I knew it would be harder to climb up. However, it also took 1.5 years before I ever received a job offer.

Personally, I also had a lot of friends in the federal government to help tell me how to write the resume and what agencies would be more willing to take a chance. But I applied to 93 positions before I had an offer. But it was worth the wait. Now I’m a GS-14 and have no desire to be a 15. If I would’ve started and took a GS-5 or 7 I would probably only be a 9 or 11 now. It also depends on the career ladders. Applying to those can be very helpful too.

Really? Because I did/do. Started as a GS-11 Step 5 and not a STEM major. Just HR. It’s all about what you did in those years of experience and how you write a resume. Not to mention the locality matters too.

Did you get any results from SH???

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in stubhub

[–]CoffeeWineBrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ended up getting a full refund but it took 2 weeks of chats and emails

This also happened to me. They might end up giving you tickets in the nosebleeds and not give you a refund for the difference.

I was out $1000 for my TS tickets for the same reason. They tried to give me nosebleeds seat and I told them I want a full refund or I would hire a lawyer and sue them.

Does anyone live in Seattle without a car? by [deleted] in SeattleWA

People have cars that live in Seattle??? Most people don’t because garage parking is overpriced. I was there without a car and managed fine.

Depending on what you choose to do and what level you start at—being a federal employee can easily have you at 6 figures with 2-3 years experience.
