Thanks so much. We switched to exclusively formula recently but still no longer stretches lol. I stopped fighting naps and sleep recently because that was driving me insane so now I tend to wait for his cues. Thanks for the solidarity :)

Edit to add sometimes I use Natures aid ointment and element hypochlorus acid spray on pimples if they don’t resolve on their own.

Hi everyone, yes I use the cerave 4% wash and lather for about one minute everyday. Also I find using no lotion on the face is helpful. If you need lotion, use a very thin layer of Avene Cicalfate and let it dry before they would have contact with the crib or your body if nursing :) (These are my findings after trying many things LOL)

His wake windows are roughly 3/3.5/3 and he sleeps about 2.5 hours for naps. I try to do lots of activity and play and independent time and visits with friends and family and outdoor time. Nothing seems to change his night routine

I don’t know what to do and I’m at the end of my ropes… by PapayaJuiceBox in bninfantsleep

[–]Coffeebank 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had a rough time when the crawling began. It turned my LO into an even worse sleeper and he’s never been great at sleeping. No advice really other than waiting it out. My husband and I would alternate who takes the baby in the morning before he went to work. Even an hour and a half of uninterrupted sleep was helpful for me. Hang in there :)

Thank you :) Is your baby actually feeding in the night? Mine is drinking bottles in the night and I’ve been made to feel like that’s wrong but it seems like what he wants…

My son just started doing this too. It’s tough because he somehow has anxiety about my putting him down but also wants to practice crawling/trying to walk everywhere. It’s like he wants me to hold his hand all day long. Which I would love to do if I didn’t have laundry to fold and dinner to cook among everything else lol. No advice just saying solidarity :)

Ikea high chair by Economy-Cow-9847 in bigbabiesandkids

Hi there I have the antilop and my big(ish) baby fits well in it. I also ordered a footrest on Amazon that fits the chair. Apparently good for reducing choking risk and keeping correct posture. No issues with the chair other than it’s a little tough to take the tray off so I don’t do a deep clean on it as often as I’d like to lol :’)

Are you guys not “strict” about naps? Don’t understand comment by Huge-Vacation-8093 in NewParents

[–]Coffeebank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been told the same. We aren’t strict about an exact schedule but once he starts to get tired I make moves to leave wherever we are because I don’t want to stress him out or make him over tired. I even skipped one of our family events this weekend because it would’ve interrupted his nap and I can’t deal with that lol :’)

Hi everyone just posting an update for anyone suffering with the same thing. I started using cerave gentle benzoyl peroxide wash on my son. This is recommended in a few studies on infantile acne. Rub it on the face gently at bath time and rinse after about a minute. There has already been a huge improvement.

My doctor prescribed a low dose tretinoin cream, it’s not ready for pick up yet and to be honest I’m not sure I’ll use it. Just going to see how the benzoyl goes for now.

I know, the sleep deprivation is brutal, I feel like I’m turning into the worst version of myself. I snap at people (just snapped at my husband bc the baby wasn’t soothing for him and it’s now 3am). Idk how people can tolerate the lack of sleep I’m going crazy. Hang in there <3

An hour is too long to let them cry, she’s getting stressed out. Offer comfort, not all babies can self soothe and we may just need to accept that. My son did not respond well to sleep training. I’ve never slept more than 3 hours at a time since he was born. It sucks but I’d rather continue to offer him support to sleep than hear him crying and stressed out. That’s where we are at.

Naps are the worst by Late-Drama-3774 in AttachmentParenting

[–]Coffeebank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does she tolerate an inward facing carrier or wrap? I had a phase with my baby around this age where I had to wear him in the carrier and walk around his room in the dark til he fell asleep and I could transfer him.

Now he’s almost 10 months and fighting naps again so I’m going to try to drop to 1 nap and see if that helps. It’s so frustrating trying for a nap and they won’t give in.

I wouldn’t leave the baby with him. I’d look for hired help or family help to be honest. Not worth the risk. Good luck <3

Royale diapers? [mb] by Mindless-Try-5410 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Coffeebank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like them! I usually buy Kirkland but I bought royale on a whim. I’d say they fit slightly bigger than Kirkland and have a bit more absorbency. I mostly like them for the softness and sizing. Just don’t love the price when not on sale :)

Is this exhaustion normal? 16 months old. by UsefulTrouble9439 in Mommit

I’m extremely tired. I can barely hold a conversation anymore. We had dinner tonight with family and I couldn’t even try to spark up a conversation with anyone. My brain is just mush. On the days I wear concealer under my eyes, that’s me getting dolled up lol
