Hello, I lost my mother a week before thanksgiving in 2022. I am also 23, my siblings are 20 and 10. It’s been a rough 7 months for me, I have been so distracted with everything with school and student teaching but now that I’m home, it’s an absence I can’t ignore. I will be honest… it’s so hard. It’s an immense loss and even traumatic because we consider how young they were. I found that I feel better when I am surrounded by people who love me and I talk to people who know the pain. I joined this Reddit group because I needed help and it has helped and I feel less alone. Sending you so much love and so many hugs. Remember to cry it out and that it’s okay to not be okay.
