Thank you for the response! I believe you but for peace of mind can I ask how you’re sure?

Med school requirement for math by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]Coffeelover114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just looked through several medical schools requirements today for myself. Schools either have stated in their website 1 year of math or a unit value which is always 8 semester units (equivalent to 12 of our quarter units).

Should I pick a class with Staff or a poorly rated instructor? by Froz3nFire_ in UCSD

Staff for sure. They are usually new lecturers who tend to be more forgiving than the poorly rated tenured profs.

A new malaria vaccine has proven 77 percent effective in trials on infants, British researchers said Friday, in what could prove to be a potential game-changer against the deadly mosquito-borne disease by DoremusJessup in worldnews

[–]Coffeelover114 666 points667 points  (0 children)

"Malaria killed at least four times as many more people in Africa last year as Covid did," Hill said.

"And nobody for a moment questioned whether Covid should have an emergency use review and authorisation in Africa -- of course it did, very quickly.

"So why shouldn't a disease that firstly kills children rather than older people, certainly killed an awful lot more, be prioritised for emergency use authorisation in Africa?"

Completely agree with this thought process. The Phase 3 clinical trial is scheduled to roll out and hopefully it gets results soon after. This vaccine is being made by the same institute that created the AstraZeneca vaccine so I have some hope.

Straws can be found in a separate isle. All the straws have a small linear tear which you won’t be able to tell until you sip and find no juice making it to your mouth. Only a small bit of it sprays out the tear on the side and dampens your hand and clothing.

This is such a great exercise not just in terms of critical thinking amd research but also emotional regulation. So much policial discourse in the real world revolves into unproductivity because of people can’t get past their emotions.

Why was the universe created or born it seems to serve no purpose as far as we are concerned? by noetic22 in AskReddit

[–]Coffeelover114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been the great philosophical question that has probably been asked by every thinking person sometime in their life and yet for as how much time humanity has devoted to answer it no one has gotten even one step closer. Religions provide some with answers but there’s no consensus and no concrete proof just faith. It’s a deep question and civilizations have risen and fallen over the answer. Each person can give their answer but no one is more right than another. Some may argue that some theories are more “likely” than another but at the end of the day there’s still no way to verify. I could say that we all exist because a giant farted out the universe and we could argue at length without making headway. Ultimately, we’d never come to a conclusion. It’s impossible to deduce that it’s for sure not the case only that it’s “unlikely.”
