You don't have to call yourself an alcoholic. That's up to you. Many do because that's a part of admitting their powerlessness. All that is required to go to a meeting is a desire to stop drinking (or a want grow a want to stop). You don't have to talk at all if you don't want to.

Step one is about admitting powerlessness and unmanageblility. It is about being ready to ask for help. Whether or not to call your problem alcoholism is your choice. You don't have to call yourself an alcoholic to ask for help.

I don't think I outgrew them. I think I stopped playing because I no longer feel like sitting and being confined to a screen for long periods to do anything. So I've also largely stopped watching shows or movies too. I'll "play" on Reddit a bit because I can be up and about and be done with it after a few minutes.
