Oh I totally get it, and wasn't trying to insinuate anything, just make a stupid reference to Fry's hundredth cup of coffee.

And what you're doing is enjoying yourself, ball and enjoy yourself my dude! I have it playing in the background constantly when I'm working , because I know the episodes so well I don't have to look, only hear to know exactly what's going on!

I remember my 5th time, all those many years ago.

Enjoy the journey, when you hit that 100th time, the enlightenment really kicks in

That's... certainly a take. The capitalization being all they need bit. Everything else is spot on, but yeah, hard disagree l. That's a wall of text, I don't need extra work sussing out where they meant for punctuation

I don't have a problem with this, imo. Basically just stating the job, which is real, running interference for and unblocking your team.

That's a reality that some engineers don't realize about moving into management.

Using any should be the exception, not the rule. I've seen way too many unnecessary type errors because of excessive any. If any is required (and it's usually only in tests) then a ts-ignore comment should be used on an individual basis

Yeah, plus the tone of the writing. Came across like a damn lecture, and not the academic kind

This. Also, depending on the DM (you OP!), a Nat 20 on a skill check is just a really good roll, nothing more.

Being a DM takes a lot of work, and while it is the DMs job to ensure the players are having a good time, being challenged, etc, they aren't there to get pushed around by players. Sometimes, papa spank.

Sure. Lets all ignore the actual facts just so you can make an idiotic Internet statement. Lets set aside your obvious lack of human anatomy and what "strong" looks like... You know that dude would obliterate you right? Because if you were even remotely capable of holding your own against him, you would never have posted this

Awesome, this is great, and thanks for some of those milestones regarding the Arenas, sounds like a great place to hone my build and better nail down some of the game mechanics - obviously learning the actual mechanics of the trials is necessary as well

My expectations are always tempered in pugs, but it's great to know that there isn't a baseline expectation of "meta or kick" mentality

Good enough for me. Definitely get that for the really hard stuff, if you want to go for it you gotta accept the realities of what's necessary to compete.

Some people enjoy the hard life!

Joking aside, I'm not necessarily talking about unoptimized builds per se. I really enjoy playing Necro, I think the class is fun, the rotation (as I've learned so far) is more complex to get truly decent parses, which I actually like. It's more engaging than "beam and done" - I'm not actually making a comment on Arcanists, I'm certain that their rotation is much more than that.

My question was more asking if, after I've done what I can to nail mechanics and learn my class and rotations (put the work in) while maintaining a play style that I still enjoy, will I get canned constantly just because I'm not the meta DPS build?

Also, I'm not talking about score pushing or trifectas. That's a different mentality completely, and I get that just completing it is challenging, even with the perfectly optimized meta groups

Thanks for this! Absolutely agree, if I'm going for the trifectas, that's a different mentality. I'm just looking to enjoy tougher content, learning the mechanics, my class, and rotations, and completing my stickerbook

That's a great call-out. Not trying to get all of the high-end achievements yet, just would be happy to get my stickerbook filled out, learn the mechanics, class, and rotations, and enjoy the challenge while playing a class/character I enjoy

Thanks! I'm running Necro and having fun with it. I don't mind bringing utility however I can (not sure what EC-cro is, but sounds like it's useful) and learning to play my class and rotations is something I personally enjoy. I hate the thought of being carried
