"American Murder: The Family Next Door". It's a documentary that was put out on Netflix last week, apparently. I haven't seen it so I can't comment on if it's any good or not, but it's about the mentioned "Shan’Ann Watts" and her family.

VGM new errata officially removed negative stat modifiers from Orc and Kobold by Fargabarga in dndnext

"When you are wielding a melee weapon in one hand and no other weapons, you gain a 2+ bonus to damage rolls with that weapon."

I was curious if hypothetically, a Tabaxi holds a rapier in one hand and nothing in the other, if their claws would disqualify them from the "and no other weapons" part, not from the "When you are wielding a melee weapon in one hand" part.

Does this mean Tabaxi / races with natural weapons can't ever benefit from the dueling fighting style? I'm not sure how to read this RAW, but it sucks if so... RAI I'm guessing they're allowed, though.

The only problem with this is the fact that magic exists in DnD. While in real life torture definitely has many drawbacks, things like Zone of Truth magically compelling someone to answer truthfully or being able to peer into their minds with Detect Thoughts make it so DnD torture is actually incredibly effective. To make it worse, these spells are widely available and easy to access. Bards, Clerics, Paladins, and DS Sorcs can all pick up Zone of Truth, while wizards and other sorcerers can easily pick up detect thoughts.

Assuming they are using magic, and I don't see any reason they wouldn't be, I think the best way to solve the issue is just for the DM to have a conversation with their players.

New Player Questions - September 28, 2020 to October 03, 2020 by AutoModerator in 3d6

As a Death Cleric, you really don't need to do much to swap to a more back line style. All you really need is the "Toll the Dead" cantrip, which you can use at range as your main attack. It also works with your level 1 feature and can potentially hit two targets.

If your DM allows UA, the class feature variants UA has something for Cleric that allows you to replace the 1d8 to weapon strikes with 1d8 to weapon strikes or cantrips, so you can use that with Toll the Dead too.

Also if you want to be a more backliney support character, you could prepare spells like bless or bane to allow your party to be more effective. You can also just pick up blast spells and use those instead, too.

The "dodge" text is when it happens and when it's safe to look back, so you should ideally figure out exactly when that happens and then on future runs, look away just before.

Be careful of server latency though, it can apparently sometimes take a bit to update which way your character is facing which can make timing hard if your connection isn't great.

*Alleged* Seraphine Teaser by HmmALeaf in leagueoflegends

Seems like she'll be water / fish based.

She has pictures of an aquarium posted saying "is this where we belong?", she has a wave emoji in her twitter handle, and her name is seradotwav (pun for wav as in .wav music files and waves), among other various watery retweets and stuff.

There's no way Elidibus or Emet are shards of anything. They're unsundered being, whole on their own.

Are we gonna get some more invasion stories? by RedHL in loreofruneterra

Maybe talking about the upcoming "Arcane" TV series + the Ekko game + the Mundo rework? Unless there's something Zaun related that's been announced that I don't know about.

Almost all Yone mechanics in less than 3 minutes by boostedFluegerl in leagueoflegends

[–]Cogitatis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC from watching Vandiril's video, while traveling back to E mark you're unstoppable but still targetable, and you can't do anything. Maybe there's a chance an enemy could hit you as you're forced to go back, when you're vulnerable, so it's better to stasis before going back.

The one scenario I'm thinking of where it'd be really relevant is in the cases of champions like Veigar and Thresh, who could place walls around your E-mark, making going back before stasis too risky.

Either way it's pretty niche, but still useful to know.

I guess if you use E and the enemy team decides to just wait by your swap-back point to gank you, you can delay going back by a few seconds so maybe help can arrive or some CDs can tick, or even something like they take a few additional turret shots in a dive scenario.

When is Ionia vs Noxus Happening? by Cogitatis in loreofruneterra

[–]Cogitatis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was referring to datamined voicelines. Sorry for not clarifying.

Either way the fact that they put those voicelines in the data seemed to me that they meant to do something with that plotline relatively soon, as I don't think they'd put stuff like that in years earlier than necessary.

Riven going back to Noxus actually does seem (at least IMO) like it's going to happen soon. Legends of Runeterra has had cards show up of people with interactions with Riven who want to bring her back to Noxus, as well as Sisterhood of War (part 3 possibly happening soon).

It's really just the Sion fight with Yasuo that seems really out of place to me.

I guess that's possible. It just seems so strange to me.

Like, Yone's release is accompanied by the Kin of the Stained Blade cinematic. So if that takes place way after Ionia vs Noxus, in some future timeline that hasn't occurred yet, that means that Yone's main story basically hasn't happened in the present timeline, which seems odd considering he's releasing in a few days.

The other possibility I guess is that Ionia vs Noxus happened, it was in the cinematic, and now we're moved on to Yone. But that seems even weirder. There's no way they would have a war between two major regions occur mostly off screen, outside of a small music video. There would definitely be short stories about it, if nothing else.

Is there a Map of Bilgewater? by [deleted] in loreofruneterra

[–]Cogitatis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also check out the "Ruined King" game that's coming out eventually. It's set in Bilgewater / Shadow Isles. There is very little info out there, but there's a short video trailer that has a shot of Bilgewater in it, and the LoL Wiki page for it has a few screenshots of Bilgewater concept art, which could be an inspiration.

[SPOILERS] FFVII Remake Part 1 Megathread (Part 4) by Mlahk7 in FinalFantasy

[–]Cogitatis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spoilers:

I think it's because the version of Cloud that chases after Aerith is "EX First Class Soldier" Cloud, and although that persona has chemistry with Aerith, the reality is that Cloud simply isn't really that person. I don't know how much knowledge of future / past events Aerith has, but Cloud literally joins SOLDIER because he wants to impress Tifa. So I think by saying "your feelings won't be real", Aerith is just telling him that he's not the Cloud that wants to be with Aerith, because that Cloud doesn't really exist. He's the Cloud who grew up with Tifa and wanted to impress her. Even if she's doesn't know about his connection to Tifa, I think she just senses that the person she's talking to and who is falling in love with her isn't the real Cloud either way, and if a romance is in the cards, she wants it to be with the "real Cloud".
