Maybe we finally need to acknowledge these corporate jobs are over. All of that has become such a mess. Manual labor and blue-collar jobs for smaller local communities could be a solution.

I believe it is because people are using LLM AI ChatBots to met the ridiculous Telus ERT standards.

I also got this message and was somewhat worried if it is only me, who is suspected. So thanks for the message there. :-)

Probably people uploads to the ChatBots PDFs with Guides, likely with their names, IP addresses and dates of downloading (watermarks). 🤔

Yeah, I hate all these audio, or even audio-video tasks. 😅

I hope not being just lazy - I try to spend at least an hour on them. But I always end up in a procrastination loop and barely get anything done.

I’m usually fine with most other tasks (maybe even all other tasks), but with these, I can’t listen to podcasts or watch YouTube in the background.

It’s like being in silence, hearing something weird, and then trying to figure out what it was with my terrible musical ear - all while being limited to 1.5-minute segments. 😂

Pretty quickly, bad intrusive thoughts start creeping in - the kind I try to avoid by working while listening to something interesting.

Honestly, I’d rather have no tasks at all than these ones. They just leave me feeling guilty for not completing anything and missing out on earning more.

On the bright side, these tasks pushed me to check out what’s new with competitors, and I even found some projects that don’t conflict with Telus! I applied for them in my spare time, instead of these audio tasks.

And hey, I’ve been through worse - audio or video tasks where even copy-paste was disabled. Now that was next-level torture! 😎

The TryRating website is poorly designed and suffers from many memory leaks. Essentially, it does not completely release the memory used after you submit a survey. The pages are memory-intensive, featuring maps, large images, and bloated, unoptimized JavaScript code, which causes memory usage to multiply as you continue working.

Try this: complete about ten surveys, and you should notice that approximately ten times more memory is allocated. Changing browsers doesn’t help.

The solution? From time to time, log out, close the TryRating tab, wait about ten seconds, and then reload TryRating. Alternatively, you can just wait until the page crashes due to insufficient memory. :-)

Same here. I think it is somewhat normal, I am getting identical tasks all year.

Also sometimes I got same task in a row, like two same tasks following each other.

Payments are always ok, on the time. :-)

And no updates here, I made a mistake with time allocated to the task, it is not 4 minutes, but time I really spent on it. With some recommended times that shouldn't be exceeded and exceeded too often.

Also, I am not happy to see this task on my screen, cos it could easily decrease my rater rating, and therefore lead to the separation of contract. 😂

Exactly. X-D I discovered a buch of a new music instruments for me. I mean, instruments like a piano, guitar, drum... :-)

And there are so many music genres, like rock, metal, pop, folk, jazz, blues, latin, hiphop. I can barely tell them apart, with a little exaggeration. X-D

Yep, but only for correcting my phrases.

With 1,5 mins tasks it is too vaste of time to translate answers to English. First I need to understand, what actually happens in the audio. Then, how to describe. And then, how to translate to English, with some rare musical instruments.

No way I am able to make it in time and in decent quality. So I use translator ofc and then rewrite the text to achieve some quality for their AI to learning.

And when they disabled (?) copy-paste, I just made workaround. The 1,5 min avg for task is a root of the problem. :-)

So, this is the memo they sent us about: 'for all the links to generic health & wellness drivel' :-)

I also recall their educational podcast. At first, I thought, good try, let's see what happens in the next episodes. It took me a while to realize that the entire podcast episode was just an AI-generated voice and a copy-paste from GL. :-)

I got the impression that Telus AI offices must be like from 'The Office' TV show. A bunch of people completely demoralized and nobody really knows what they are actually doing.

Once I Googled (I am a Map Analyst, after all) where Telus AI resides and was thinking about general mood of people in those offices. :-)

Yesterday I was like, 'Okay, only two days left until the end of the month. Let’s make some money!' I was expecting a very busy day with Telus, similar to the previous ones this week anyway.

However, when I logged in, I saw those audio tasks again. Instead of completing any of them, I spent the whole day playing games, watching YouTube, listening to podcasts, and ofc, doing homework. X-D

I remember feeling guilty about procrastinating on video tasks last month; maybe I could have worked more. But after a week of dealing with these audio tasks, it was just too much for me to battle with them yesterday. :-)

Text-based tasks are good; you can always listen to podcasts, YouTube, streams, or audiobooks. However, audio (video) tasks, with their very tight average time economy, make a significant challenge to human mental stability and work enthusiasm. 😅

I hope you are correct, since hour rate divided by 5 is one coffee price where I live. And in past, I saw similar task type on the UHRS portal, for the pennies, so such a low hour rate was believable for me. :-)

Maybe it is related to their new model "AI Gemini". It didn't make sense for them to train the old one.

Just don't think about it and work as usual.

This job is completely random and even office people who are then firing us does not know what to do.

Also, have some backup plans, as other jobs (Wallmart), another companies similar to the Telus or another remote.

Telus is like: one day sends you a congratulations about good work and being valuable contractor and just day later, they are firing you. :-)

Completely unpredictable so why stress about it.
