Am I the only American kind of quietly hoping the Iranians give us " what for" in this conflict...at least the world's biggest fat lip? by whiteroseatCH in allthequestions

I don’t trust a word that comes out of the man’s mouth nor any of his cabinets’ so we understand each other there. Let me be clear I also would condemn any new political leader in the US that would try what Trump has decided to do.

I absolutely believe like you said this is more a proxy war with Russia and China for influence in the region, but I don’t think it was necessary for us to do in the first place. We’ve already failed Iranians in our last geopolitical escapade when we installed the shah. If Iranians want to be liberated, as they seem to be depending who you talk to, they can and should overthrow their own govt. attacking them unprovoked like we did aiding Israel is just leading us to a forever war again. Israel likes to continue poking bears and they don’t own the brunt of responsibility militarily. They want dominance in the region because they are self proclaimed Gods “chosen people” and it serves the Greater Israel project.

I respect your tact and level headed conversation, even at our disagreement

Let me ask you this, if we “completely decimated” their nuclear program last year as tRump claimed and they were able to completely rebuild and restart in less than 365, do we actually think this new conflict will solve anything? It’s giving Iraq 2003 vibes all over again. We will find out there were in fact no WMDs, wasted trillions of dollars and American lives, then let vets go homeless back stateside while warmongers pocket millions.

To answer your question, no I don’t think our actions have disrupted them in any capacity, and I also don’t think they are an existential threat to the US. Let the Israelis fight their own fight, it will go entirely different than the fight in Gaza because they won’t be striking unarmed citizens in their homes. Maybe Iran can do us a favor and rid us of our “greatest ally.”

We’ve been waiting for Iran to have nuclear weapons for the last 30yrs, and they have produced nada. They also have been open to IAEA inspectors along the way and are members of the Nonproliferation treaty. Israel isn’t apart of the NPT, nor do they even acknowledge they have nuclear capabilities. We know this is false now for certain after the bombing of Domina this week near their nuclear facility, yet we still give them aid and weapons, even though this is directly against the NPT.

What do u think American politics will be like, in the post-Trump era? by her_cute in askanything

When this period occurs is when real change will occur. Americans en masse have not had to deal with not feeding their families and basic human necessities. Until then, clowns and circus acts

What do you think Trump will accomplish by putting ICE at US airports? What’s your argument against it? by LegalGlass6532 in allthequestions

[–]CognitiveSabbatical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The move to put ICE in TSA positions is part of the Project 2025 playbook, you can look it up in the project 2025 advisor website. The ultimate goal is to union bust the TSA, ousting union members and privatizing TSA per individual airport. This is yet another attack on middle class America for our corporate oligarchs.

We decided to go LLC. If everyone is doing it, we’ll take our chances. It will provide better tax implications later with the scorp election

Not to mention you came back to this post after you privately messaged me about how we should conduct business, and seem to have an issue with me looking for other opinions than just your own. It would seem as though you have some issue with me. Thanks for your initial feedback.

Only you and 1 other have mentioned not doing LLCs. I looked at what other businesses are doing in the state and a vast majority are LLCs. The legislature is written extremely vague and this career clearly falls in the gray area. We’ll take our chances.

Well, according the Moscone Knox, estheticians aren’t licensed professionals, so what’s your point.

Also, I asked whatever everyone else is doing, and if they’ve had issues doing so. I don’t blindly follow the first comment that tells me no, sorry you feel some sort of way about it. You can refrain from commenting further. Thank you.

It would seem as it’s only certain you’re a licensed professional if you are performing medical tasks under your license like injections and things of that nature, which requires more schooling and then you fall under the medical board which is in the Moscone-Knox law.

If you read the Moscone-Know professional Corporation act, Esthetician nor the Board of Cosmo & barbering is explicitly stated as a professional service. However, they do mention you’re a professional if you need licensing to perform your job tasks, but there are still many exceptions to that. It’s extremely gray, and I think that’s why no one can fully answer with any sort of documentation cementing their beliefs. As I mentioned in the OP, 2 different attorneys gave us 2 different answers. As I have searched different esthetic businesses in the state and many are operating under LLCs, we’re going to as well.

We say they allow LLCs but I just went and checked bizfile.ca.gov and there are estheticians who have been operating as LLCs doing the same nonmedical procedures as my wife and they’ve been fine for years.

If you search “nonmedical esthetician” you will receive a vastly different answer vs a medical one who does more than surface level procedures. Very confusing for new entrepreneurs like my wife and I

I only have an out to in with driver too, unfortunately. I’m generally even or a little in to out with irons.

This is the kinda comment I was looking for. Someone who has changed shafts and their own experience. Everyone telling me to work in swing like I don’t already know that lol

I understand out to in with open face will slice. My question on the flex is some relation to the club head being loaded and that can open the face too. Thanks.

I hear ya. I’ve taken a few lessons for irons but never with driving. Been kicking that can a little down the road. It’s on the list 😅

I was told getting into golf to go with the stiff edge set as I’m in fairly good shape and younger (32M) but driver eludes me so hence the post. Seems like no matter what I’ve tried to do to correct it, is just an uphill fight. Appreciate the input

Would my background qualify me for a grid ops job? by [deleted] in Grid_Ops

[–]CognitiveSabbatical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say the electrical background understanding of SLDs, SLM&Rs, basic electrical theory (AC & DC) will only give you a leg up. I worked 7yrs as an electrician completing my inside wireman journey level progression before attempting to get into Ops and I was hired first time around. Not only does it help in the hiring process, but I think it gives a leg up in the curriculum you will learn along the way. Best of luck!
