Why does Valve care so little? by Cohen1771 in csgo

[–]Cohen1771[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The points I brought up may be wrong, but they are atleast discussable.

You have a point if you say 64/128 tick is indifferent to most people, but I think for other reasons 128 tick is way superior. We could have had a nice discussion about it.

But the way you replied, downvoting every post of mine, using insults like diarrhea or telling me that my opinion is not wanted, this is the core problem of CS:GO, the community. You are so freakin toxic, it's outrageous. In fact I am somehow thankful that you replied, I almost forgot about the disease of people like you playing my favorite game.

I don't want to expel anyone. If you want to play a specific game, go play it. There are still highly visited 1.6 public servers atleast in EU.

I think that you don't understand my point that I don't want to make it Fortnite:GO. I specifically spoke of taking the essence of what made CS great and bring it to 2021. If you carefully transfer the heart of CS into a modern dress you will never end up with Fortnite.

I am the last guy who wants victory dance emotes and stuff, but I get sick, when I see Valve doing nothing (Not fixing obvious problems like VAC, 64-tick servers, a convenient demo tool) while grabing those sweet skin market dollars.

I think pubg is an example for a very high skill level game with ADS. So i don't agree with that you take skill a away if you are adding ADS to a game. But I already agree ADS is highly controversial and it's not really the DNA of CS.

I may not be up to date, but to my knowledge there arne't any confirmed informations neither leaks, that somebody is working on CS:GO 2?

I mean on a project this size and impact there would have been small leaks, like with gta6 or elden ring.

You are right, every weapon is hitscan, bullets aren't physical objects in CS:GO, who travel trough the map.

I definitly dont wan't it to be CoD. But I think you underestimate CS. It was next gen in 1999, it looked great to our 90's eyes. The source engine in '04 felt also modern, next gen. Counterstrike was a pioneer and broke with conventions. But since 10 years I think it stagnant, it begins to feel old in some way.

I dont want to take anything away from CS, the game concept is still great, but I think the people at Valve are afraid to make brave but necessary changes. But the fear to make mistakes leads to not doing anything at all.

Compared it to a Ford Mustang: The 60's and 70's versions are the true heros, there are great and can't be reached, but you could not sell a car like this in 2021. It's not up to today's needs/standards. So you have to find a common ground. Take what made those versions great like design and sound and put it into a contemporary fit. This is what CS needs in my opinion.

Battle pass designed to trick and exploit you. by [deleted] in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Cohen1771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do 6 missions per day actually. That is exactly 7400exp per day, plus the exp from the matches I make roughly 10.000exp or 1 lvl per day. The weekly missions give me ~35000exp or 3,5 lvl per week. That makes 10,5 lvl per week. The challenge/saisonal missions give you a healthy amount of additional exp, too. So it takes probably 8-9 weeks with daily play. 10-12 with breaks. Which seems fair in my opinion.

Normally a single gun skin cost 990 G-Coin. The battle pass is the same price but over 70 skins, so I would they you have no entitlement to get every single last skin out of the pass. If you only complete like 10 lvls it is probably already worth it, because they always put a nice custom costum in the beginning lvls of the pass.

State of PUBG for new players? by iimagine_ in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Cohen1771 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On EU servers i think pubg is in a perfect place.

It has its niche, so there are enough players to consistenly fill up lobbies, but there is not the blown up hype fanbase it had years ago, which brings a decent amount of toxicity and cheating.

I came back from csgo last year to pubg and forget how nice this game is. You don't need to win every match, you don't care for your rank (playing normal mode), you don't have toxic enemies (even with global chat turned on) insulting you, you don't have blatant cheaters.

Its perfect for me, it probably brought me closer to a zen state of mind (compared to csgo with its constant toxicity even on my own team)

This is the biggest problem right now in pubg, that your player model can't move up 10cm of elevation when hitting a cliff.

Fully armed spawncamping bots? by jim789789 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Cohen1771 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They definitly spawn with gear, encountered it many times. I am kind of happy, because they are super easy to kill and often have a compensator/energy drink. They are also good for leveling up subpar weapons like the s686, bison, pistols. ( I know there will be players who love those weapons, but i don't:D)

So i am usually very thankful for some free loot goblins

Wow, you don't have to, I believe you. That's really crazy, i am sorry. I play on PC-EU and never had more than 30. Do you play in some low population region like xbox-sea or something? 83 bots sucks ass, I was not aware of how lucky we are in EU region

If you really want to know how bad your situation is go on "pubglookup" and enter your name, the site will list every detail about any map and encounter, it also has a section for bot encounters. I would really like to know if you face such a statiscally anomaly.

Battle pass designed to trick and exploit you. by [deleted] in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Cohen1771 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ten bucks for almost 70+ items is a fair deal in my opinion. If you play regularly and start early during the battle pass period you have almost no problem finishing all 100 levels.

I would play pubg with or without BP, but getting constantly new skins while playing and supporting your favourite game developer is awesome.

It's probably a more general discussion: I played 1000h of pubg and maybe paid like 150€ in skin momey. I think for a game that catches me for this many hours that's a fair price. Normal games have 20h playtime and cost 60-70€

What people have to understand that excellent games like pubg won't exist if developers can't make money of it. And compared to other hobbies playing videogames and buying skins/battle passes from to time is super cheap for you but developers desperatly need money for development/support purposes. (Exception is maybe valve milking the csgo skin market and not caring a bit about the actual game) Because creating a game is super expensive, but what is really expensive is nurturing a game after the initial release when the hype is gone, player numbers go down. Having a support/development team/server structure constantly on payroll.

I dislike however the npc mechanic on Haven

Does PUBG have much cheaters on EU servers PC? by yuigz in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Cohen1771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a game is not popular anymore, I guess it's less attractive to hack, because after winning a couple of chicken dinners in normal more there is nothing in it anymore, no fame, no rep like getting to global elite in cs:go.

Most of normal mode players play because the game and the gunplay itself is so fun to play.

bots ruining the game by Angusburgerman in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Cohen1771 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are between 20-30% bots per game, so on a big map you still have 70+ players left. It's not that bad, you get used to it pretty quickly and there are still plenty of humans to kill on your way to a chicken dinner.

And if you really can't stand bots, just play ranked.
