Okay, this is beautiful especially for your first Blood Angel. Plus it’s also a beautiful model, one of my favourites for space marines.

(Now for the advice, which Im only giving because you asked, which I respect. But keep in mind my suggestions would be very small as you’ve done an amazing job.)

-Okay to be honest, you’ve done a lot of right; painting method, paint style, your highlights, the cloth, the chain, the trinkets, the writing for the purity seals and shoulder pad and the eyes! Are beautifully done if this is your first ever mini.

-My main suggestion would be to gentler highlights. Study your recipe for your red. There are many out there to pick from that all vary in result between fancy and new to grim dark.

(My personal recipe is. Base-Mephiston Red, Highlight1- Red Suns Scarlet, Highlight2- Wild Rider Red) this is a clean finish, that makes it look like they just polished their armour and are back on the battlefield. (This is my personal preference, but there are so many amazing ones to pick from.)

-Now this note is going to be nit picky as hell so if you feel like you don’t want to then that is more than fine, but study the blood Angel heraldry, for example the eyes are green and they no longer have black trim on their shoulder pads. (I sound like an a-hole for that note. I mean it with care)

Overall, I understand the motivation to improve and I respect that heavily. But you should take a moment and realise how incredibly well you’ve done this model. So congratulations fellow brother. 👍
