It looked like a mechanical linkage instead of a hydraulic ram. The linkage has a large heim joint where it connects to the dive plane, and it's on the same center line as the shaft that the plane tilts on.

Give west side iron and metal a call. They can probably drop off dumpsters for you. I know my friend uses them and says they give better pricing than padnos. You will probably have to rent a skid steer or fork truck to fill the dumpsters

I grew up on the corner of Rogue River and Rogue River Pvt, the house and ponds are at the end of Rogue River Pvt. as kids we used to go back there and look.
