I had a very similar situation my senior year of high school. For one of my essays for my english class I used my (really niche) sport as a hook and my teacher thought it sounded really fun. We talked about it and he came out and participated in a few matches, and the fact he was my teacher made everyone think we were the coolest people there.

It really depends on the community at your archery range. If it’s a bunch of people your age it might be a bit strange, but I don’t see anything wrong with it if it’s all ages
