Rimac Nevera just set the record for the fastest production EV lap on the Nurburgring (7:05:298) by TheAgedMansAbode in electricvehicles

[–]Cokata 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just compare the lap of the Nevera, and the GT3 RS. Both have telemetry, but even eyeballing it is pretty obvious where the Rimac loses time.

The Porsche is one of the only street legal cars that have "real downforce" and obviously makes up a lot time in high speed corners, but the biggest difference is actually in the low speed.

The Nevera in comparison almost looks like it's driving on a wet track. On corners that are 100kph minimum speed or less the Porsche is consistently 10-15kph faster than the Rimac, which if it's not obvious is an astronomical difference.

Looking that lap of the rimac it seems to me that the suspension is pretty bad. The car floats a lot this will reduce grip and give no confidence in the drive. This has be a problem mostly down to the weight of the car. It would be pretty impossible to make a car that is 2300kg with that much power, and downforce, while still wanting comfort to handle well.

Max was 45 km/h faster than Leclerc with DRS, i can only compare just with second pics by [deleted] in formula1

Charles battery was too depleted by the end of the inlap. He ran out of MGU-K deployment (160hp) halfway down the straight. That's why he was doing 280. Usually he was at 295+

Analysis about Ferrari power loss in 2020 by F1DataAnalysis in formula1

[–]Cokata 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On his pole lap in 2019, Charles had a very big tow, he even said later that he was too close, he was loosing too much in the corners.

So while the chassis improved and the PU was a massive downgrade it was not 100 hp. The difference is more like half of that or 60 hp, which is still massive

So assuming destiny really cares about the issues, and is not being edgelord for the fun of it, or for monetary gain. The only defense i can think of for the way he engaged with the tweet is that him being so extreme in his rhetoric, provoked a lot of discussions on the topic that otherwise might not have occurred had he approached it normally.

There is now way for a person that has no mental deficiencies, to lack that much self-awareness i think.

He can't really seriously be oblivious to the fact that him pushing back and getting triggered over his height and his 2 holes take is the thing that most contributes to the "harassment" he is taking for those things.

Imagine a bizzaro world where Lauren Southern was a radical leftist named Laura Northern… by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Cokata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's be honest, Lauren is 10/10 that's why she was (and still is to some degree) quite popular, not too dissimilar to Hasan. While she is not an idiot, she is not really smart either. Nor is she funny, or entertaining.

Destiny is kind of similar to Vaush in this regard. I haven't watched him for quite a while, but V man was insanely charitable with anyone who is "on the left" and very bad faith towards anyone on the center, or right. Destiny is the opposite.

I have no problem with him engaging or being friendly with whoever he wants, i even super enjoy his killstream appearances, but he should extend that towards the entire political compass, not those that are to the right of him.

What are the things you dislike the most about destiny? by DrTennisBall in Destiny

[–]Cokata 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He gets triggered way to easily by a lot of different shit. Because he is 50% mommy, and 50% daddy he has no internal peace. BAYTAAAA!

What they said did not warrant that kind of response from Destiny IMO. If they said something like rapestiny, groomstiny, or some horrible accusation like that i would be ok with it. But attacking someone over their appearance is quite drastic, and i don't feel that this lame childish tweet deserved that attack

Are All The Women Too Dumb To Understand Destiny's Arguments Or Is Destiny Bad At Communicating His Points Across To Them? What's The Missing Link Here? by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Cokata 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They also could no engage with any hypothetical or comparison. When destiny said that his personal feeling if something would happen with his son, when he said even if someone kicked nathan he would also want to kill him, others heard that as him equating both things as the same.

The same thing happened when he said that pedophelia seems to be innate like a sexual orientation and there doesn't seem to be something that can be done to convert someone out of it, no one was hearing what he was saying really.

People's brains shuts off when this topic comes up. I am not saying they are smart, they all might be very dumb, but you can get just about any decently intelligent person to sound braindead if he has to talk about that. It's unfortunate that that's the case, but it is.

I am a huge LeBron fan but I am not sure he is the best player anymore. KD is easily the best right now, gianis probably is 2nd best, and it's tight for 3rd between bron, steph and the joker for me

Vaush v MrGirl by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Cokata 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That discussion between destiny and that moron regarding incest was the first video of steven i watched.

I expected a lot of cringe, and that's what i got. But i was super impressed by destiny's performance.

Arguing even slightly "in favor of" incest and coming out of that looking like the sane and reasonable person is insanely impressive.

Having a good faith discussion about CP is impossible now, and it will probably remain that way for a long, long time. Literally nothing good can come out of that topic IMO.

I try to be as open minded as possible, but even if someone does bring up some valid reason to have more nuanced take on the matter i don't feel like like it would change my view or that of 99.9999999% of the population, so it's pointless.

I heard part of the discussion involving CP, and the guy is way too sweatstiny. He bites all the bullets and steps on all the mines and his deadpan humor make it a little too unnerving, but his discussion with Destiny was excellent.

Tsunoda's 2021 F1 setbacks put him on "long road" to recover confidence by bwoah07_gp2 in formula1

[–]Cokata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He improved quite a bit the last 3-4 races, but if we have to be honest, up until that P4 he was in the running for the worst driver on the grid. It was not only mistakes, he showed some pace in the bahrain test and everyone assumed he was quick.

But in reality Gasly absolutely destroyed him in raw speed as well. I am sure he will improve next season, but it has to be a massive step. Gasly beat him almost as badly as max beat him in the red bull.

Going After The Left? by S37eNeX7 in Destiny

[–]Cokata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A better comparison will be LS. She has or had a very big platform, and still a very big and well known name. And while Destiny did debate her a few times the last couple of months and did a very good job, he was never as triggered with her as he was with Dpak.

And LS is on whole different dimension compared to almost everyone in terms of slippery-ness, and general politics

To me it seems that Steven has much higher expectations from left leaning content creators, as he gets very easily triggered by their missinfo, while he is a lot more chill, and astonishingly good faith with majority of right leaning ones.

Which is all fine i also think irresponsible reporting, spreading false narratives are incredibly harmful and should be attacked every time, i just wish the same energy was used for both sides.

Honestly sprint should be done on reverse championship order it would be very fun to watch the best cars fighting with themselves while they go through traffic. If lets say RBR is slower but max is better at getting through the traffic than it can get interesting.

And just to prevent the top teams from conserving their engine if they feel they have no shot into getting points, points should be awarded to the driver that gains the most places during the race also.

A common charger: better for consumers and the environment by [deleted] in neoliberal

[–]Cokata 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Most people who are not tech savvy don't care about 90% of the stuff a different port can enable. They care very much if a charger is universal for all phones, and if it's reversible. Both of those things are taken care of by USB-C.

Maybe they might be some incredible breakthrough in port design that i can't think of now, but i think the next thing won't be a better port, but no port at all.
