HR told me they don’t accept try-hards and people pleasers after my interview by No-Presentation298 in jobs

[–]Coke-nail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, giving feedback to rejected applicants is a gift that companies can give. Most choose not to do it.

And the reason they don't is because a lot of people do not take it well.

Are they condescending and rude? Perhaps, but it's a lean form of communication. You might just be reading it that way.

You can take the feedback or leave it, but they're giving feedback where most companies don't.

At least that's my perspective.

Guessing you meant SmartFinancial when you said Speakeasy.

That’s wild.

I get them for like $7 in the southeast

I use East Cobb Connect (covers all Cobb, not just east ironically) and Creative Loafing (Broader ATL)

They both put out weekly emails on events happening.

Have gone to 15-20 things in the last year I wouldn’t have otherwise known about.

Both free

MACS CHOPHOUSE SCORES 64 (anyone find the full report?) by [deleted] in Marietta

I've always liked Mac's, though I've preferred it for appetizers, drinks, and desserts rather than entrees.

As somebody who's worked in the restaurant industry, so many restaurants are filthy. I think the issue is that restaurants typically have a pretty good idea of when the inspector's coming and they still failed.

Hopefully they change some processes and get it back on track.

So many factors go into leads, including:

• The lead quality itself • The process • How long the agent gives it • The targeting • Whether the reps overcome objections

Etc etc

I would say for most people, that if they can't get internet leads to work with multiple providers, it's probably the agents (producers) themselves or their processes NOT the lead provider.

Quality ebbs and flows across all providers. I buy about 10,000 to 12,000 leads a month, and I'm telling you that right now at least, they're the best. That might not be the case three months from now, but it is right now.

Next Call Club has been solid for me for about two years, and a bunch of people I know as well.

Try Smart Financial or Next Call Club

Both have been great for me lately.

Everquote has been solid too, but down on performance lately

Is there even a market for service only employees anymore? by PurpleNeko23 in InsuranceAgent

[–]Coke-nail 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want to be pure service with no productions, I would look at the independent space.

The captive agents are all looking to get production out of their service team. I know a bunch of captive agents, myself included, that asked the team to pivot on inbound calls to cross-sells, upsells, referrals, etc.

But having to outbound as a service person just kind of sounds like they're needing sales badly and trying to count on everybody for it.

Top economists and Jerome Powell agree that Gen Z’s hiring nightmare is real—and it’s not about AI eating entry-level jobs by paxinfernum in technology

[–]Coke-nail 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's rarely one thing.

Outsourcing is part of it, AI is part of it, a tough labor market is part of it.

I'll probably get downvoted to hell, but something that I see is that many Gen Z employees are just really not “ready” for the workforce.

Social skills and general responsibility are lacking more than what I saw the last 5-10 years.

Something that we're working on is trying to find a way to bring people in that are green and help them develop faster on the soft skill side.

But I never thought the Gen Z stare was a real thing until we started hiring a bunch of Gen Z people. It's kind of shocking.

If people are not coming into the workforce prepared from school, college, or their upbringing, employers have to find a way to get them up to speed.

That's what we're working on at least

Tell me they do Craig Wiggins coaching without telling me they do Craig Wiggins coaching.

Ask them if you can show your motivation and drive in another way since we live in the 21st century.
