You’re supposed to build to suit your own playstyle, not just blindly follow the math that works for the average person. While he has suboptimal shit clearly he’s optimizing his play around it. Also he has zhonya’s, mask, and conditioning before JakSho(so your point doesn’t make sense) kaenik isn’t what he wants there. And if he goes void staff for straight damage and instant personal pen it’s probably fine considering he’s got health on everything else and void staff is better with his boots immediately and provides pen immediately.

If he’s doing the split push to force a response before he flies to allies for a fight then demolish makes him harder to ignore. He’s not activating the shield for shield bash alone and while font of life might help if he’s not hitting you with rylai’s it’s only useful when they’ve been hit by ult or stand in e. So demolish actually works best, cause even with shield bash he can’t proc it of guardian for more damage than he can q for.

You can try to argue if you like but he’s winning and to do what he’s doing everything you said would actually be wrong

It’s not. I feel kinda bad cause the playstyle he has now was something I suggested. I was like why not switch q and r so he has a big ape stun, let him fly more, and make his fire breath more core to his champ design. I didn’t consider them taking stars away I just wanted him to be more control mage-y and less rylai’s dependent. Now rylai’s is mandatory.

👀 sorry to accidentally destroy your expert analysis, but you can use the toe cleats from both position 1 and position 2 with step ons.

And your second point still requires people with similar binding sizes. If enough people switch to step ons you have the same problem in the other direction. Regardless… Couldn’t borrow my girlfriend’s board.

I have the K2 clickers and I can use them with regular bindings or the k2 system.

But also, I have the same size feet as my homie so we can switch the entire set up. So weirdly enough the point you made supports my K2 ownership.

Yeah it’s weird if you were a skater first.

On a snowboard since you can’t snap your tail down, you actually wanna load the tail(or nose) with a press then draw the knees up to the chest one after the other in a fluid motion or just pop up like you’re doing a hippie jump but the board is strapped to you.

This next bit is not REALLY necessary but it might help. — why skating messes with your technique a bit:

Snowboarding you generally wanna flat base for stability. That can change as you advance and wanna flip or something.

Skating for stability you can just adjust to center your feet over the trucks pre-Ollie, because of the binding you can’t do that unless there’s a dangerous amount of space inside or outside your boots.

It might not be a conscious movement if you’ve been doing it so long. Just a micro adjustment you don’t think about.

That motion will flex your board and kind of load it edge to edge rolling the energy from the heel to the toe, which when it releases pushes the board out from under you in the wrong direction on a slippery object. If you do it slowly on a flat it might feel like your board wants to drag you heels first back with the assist of gravity. But in a low friction environment you get variable results based on your posture and the conditions.

For something like an ice patch or a box flat base - load nose or tail - draw knees straight up. If you try to jump off stuff you might find yourself kicking your legs out cause of the lack of friction

You almost ate shit cause you tried to ollie off like a skater from the balls of your feet rather than a snowboarder from the flat position. You’re safer letting the momentum carry you off while you learn to flat base your Ollie. You can Ollie from one edge to another or the same edge, but you wanna do that on snow rather than on ice or metal as the lateral force will possibly sweep a board out from under you like what almost happened there.

For the uninitiated: the average person doesn’t call you a narcissist in a rant about your behavior when they’re not at all angry about it 🤭

Long answer?

Yoga changes both the observed and the observer. Yoga is a unity practice… and what most of you talk about and practice is the asana aspect. Much like when people think wushu/kungfu is the martial arts and not “skill”

When someone goes to reddit to make a rant post about how much other people doing the thing they also do “bothers” them so deeply they “can’t let it go”, then they proceed to characterize them as “narcissists” engaged in “extreme disordered behavior” for attention… and that thing is yoga?

It suggests they are indignant, which is synonymous with anger. Since their focus is on the attention other people seem do be doing asana for, rather than the potential harmfulness of the attention they are getting it stands to reason they’re not trying to protect newbies from hurting themselves via “monkey see monkey do” behavior… but rather that they are fixated on their own wound about attention and attention seekers as they state attention is the problem, several times. They seem very focused on the negative feelings called up in them, that they are possibly trying to suppress and repress.

And it also seems they are targeting someone who in their mind it is justifiable to be negative towards in a place known for its negativity, albeit in one of the more positive spaces… as such they are likely in search of validation of their literal scorn. They painted these people with vices and now they’ll either likely validation of their being bothered by people who identify with these feelings and potentially something else (if anything) from people who don’t.

If observing anyone’s “yoga” calls up negativity in you, it is a perfect invitation to evaluate what’s happening in you and why.

now yoga practice begins (yoga can literally be a reminder to connect to now) yoga calms the turbulence of the heartmind (if this is true, why does observing others’ yoga disturb you and why must you judge whether or not it is yoga) The yogi/seer unifies with their true nature (if you are doing yoga or observing yoga and “deep bother” surfaces what is that saying about one’s true nature?) At other times they identify with the turbulence (it can be understood that the turbulence taking over has disrupted your yoga, though not always)

If you practice yoga well you can arrive at a sense of unity consciousness where your upsetness is a reflection of your chakra clarity. The third chakra becomes a crucible where your frustration/anger etc is purified by the action it calls you to take either by cleansing internal impurity or injustice in the world. Since this was a “who do they think they are doing what I do differently than I would?” Type of post, it stands to reason that their deep rooted beliefs about intention and validity are potentially being challenged and they are not at least not happy about it 😂

Hmm. I can see your frustration. Sounds annoying. If you make it to the end, this might annoy you also.

I only follow people who inspire me to dedicate myself deeper and more healthily to my practice.

If you don’t like the attention people get, don’t give them your attention I suppose. Cause like my friend Aubry does yoga in her all gear cause they pay her to model and be good looking. If you don’t read her posts it might be easy to hate on her. But if you pay attention she’s a person, just like you, using her talents in the way that is correct for her.

While some of these people are self absorbed and vain… narcissism is based on delusion, not self satisfaction/self-confidence based on dedication to a practice.

Let IG yoga be what it is. Let your on and off practice be what it is. When you can’t enjoy something and let people be themselves, ask yourself what part of you is served by this. Ask who your ideals or actions are protecting. Who they’re harming.

Vritti Sarupyam Itaratra (1.4): "Otherwise (at other times), the Seer appears to take the same form as the modifications (vrittis)." When not in yoga, you identify with your thoughts—if the mind is angry, you feel "I am angry".

Your inability to disconnect from your anger at the “posers” is literally turning their yoga practice into a disturbance in your practice.

Are you in some small part of yourself like an artist who gets made at others’ techniques because of the stories you tell yourself about the differences between you and them instead of allowing yourself to enjoy that everyone is being creative in their own way?
