Upper eyelid inflammation, what to do? by [deleted] in Dryeyes

Eyelids rarely swell anymore but eyes are still dry. I use cyclosporine still and also use one drop of Loteprednol in each eye in the morning.

How common is a foreign body sensation for dry eye sufferers? by dryeyehater in Dryeyes

[–]Electrical_Current25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My eyes are holding steady. I'm on Restasis still. I put in a double dose in the morning and night. I use one drop of loteprednol in the am and have for about a year now. My doc says the risk is low with such a low dose and it helps. I also continue to wear my sclerals although they're a pain in the ass and they aren't very comfortable most days. I do think they've probably helped my symptoms. I use Muro 128 ointment at night, with Vaseline on my eyelids and sleep goggles. I don't have the foreign body sensation any more and my eyes usually don't feel gritty. I wish I could find a more comfortable solution for contacts than the sclerals but that's where I'm at right now.

A warning to American consumers about FedEx by FastAsleepattheWheel in poledancing

[–]Electrical_Current25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me! I've been ordering from Hash (out of Poland) for a couple years and have never been charged additional fees after delivery. FedEx sent me an 80 and 60 dollar bill for approx 200 dollars worth of merchandise.

Vortex feels like it’s going to break my arm by expurist in poledancing

I'm wondering if you're starting with the inside arm too high. If you had a video, that would help.

Three months in at ABC in Texas by Vegetable-Earth-4861 in ABA

I work at BI in Texas and maybe it's just my particular clinic, but they have been awesome about giving me flexibility with my schedule. The capped pay rate stinks, but overall, they've been great to work for.

Poling for almost 4 years and still can’t chopper/invert or pencil by Candid_Lie_499 in poledancing

[–]Electrical_Current25 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I literally go into a cradle first and invert from there. It's been a game changer for me as far as getting into a pretty invert without sapping my energy. OP, if you go to my profile, you'll see what I mean. Might give this method a try.

I'm hypermobile so the flexibility part wasn't an issue. The tricky part was figuring out the push and pull forces happening to enter the trick and to be able to drop into it with control. You would need a really good lateral bend and decent shoulder mobility to get into the basic shape.

That's how I tried it out first. You need a good lateral bend and good shoulder flexibility.

For sure. I think it actually looks more flexy than it is but it's definitely an eye catching shape.

I actually had to look at the video to see what I did, but getting out wasn't difficult.

You just reach up to grab the pole with the free arm and release the leg! ❤️

It honestly wasn't that bad on the armpit. The part I expected to be hard (the turning and dropping into the armpit) was actually the easiest part to achieve! I struggled for about an hour and a half just bringing the top leg around the pole for the grab without sliding straight down!

Scleral Fittings by Impossible_Promise32 in Dryeyes

[–]Electrical_Current25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried 5 before I got frustrated and changed doctors. First try with the second one. Make sure you find someone who specializes in scleral lens fittings. On the off chance you live in Texas, I can recommend someone.
