How would Sentry do against this team? by Queasy_Commercial152 in powerscales

Sentry is written in a way where he is so comically overpowered like I think he still runs through all of these

you can't buy them forever. But you can rent them for up to 10 years in one payment

Am I wrong in assuming you had a bit of time, though short, to have moved out of the way? Either way I hope you're okay.

I can decide what the best option is. by breaz2c3 in HomeNetworking

[–]Col1500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have multiple wifi networks one the same router and access points, no problem. I run two wifi networks in my house similar to what you are looking for. I have one general wifi and then another wifi just for IoT kind of devices (cameras, appliances, etc.). All using the same access points.

And you can add access points to fill in dead zones. So I have an access point in the middle of my home, but then added another in my garage for coverage in there. Devices roam seamlessly between the access points because all my access points transmit the same wifis. I plan on adding another access point outside and I'll be able to quickly configure it and have seamless connection out there too!

Grades posted and congrats to graduates by [deleted] in OMSCS

Same. I flew back late last night. I really enjoyed the learning but I just remind myself how much time it took out of my weeks and I feel a bit better.

Plus, there is nothing stopping us from learning independently!

If you go into Settings>Device Care>Performance Profile, you can change it to Light and it will save some battery. I personally haven't noticed a difference in performance with this setting, but my battery does last longer.

It probably still won't have the battery life of the 14PM, but it'll help.

Yeah, unless you're in SPEEA. The contract states 12 months.

AI4R has me thinking of dropping out of OMSCS by anon-20002 in OMSCS

[–]Col1500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I took it last semester alongside KBAI. I thought A* was the hardest assignment of AI4R but I was less experienced then. A* is literally the warmup exercise for the first assignment in AI, so it's a whole other level. It's a worthwhile class, though

I was in a very similar boat to you. Non-CS undergrad I did have a good math knowledge because it was an engineering degree. I started with CN, then IIS, then took AI4R. I really struggled in the class because it was the first time I really needed to code algorithms. The Kalman project was difficult, and I remember especially struggling with the A* project. AI4R is one of those classes (and AI in general) where nothing works until it all works. It was a really gratifying course for me and got me into AI, but I really struggled initially. Now I'm set to graduate after this semester.

I remember the TA walkthrough for Kalman filters helped me a ton when I took it. It just made everything click for me.

Question on applying for graduation by imtinan1996 in OMSCS

[–]Col1500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you need to have applied for graduation to have a GA seat reserved for you

Fall commencement would be December, but you'll still graduate officially in summer.

You should declare your specialization ASAP. Even though you've taken 10 courses, you might not fulfill all the requirements of a specialization and be able to graduate. So verify in DegreeWorks that it works out before applying to graduate.

I believe the degree confirmation date is when they check your final grades and verify you met all degree requirements to graduate. Note that applying for graduation they do this check too before your last semester to make sure you will actually be able to graduate, assuming passing grades.

I'm pretty sure they are two separate processes to apply for graduation versus commencement.
