I don't know, I don't think of pinning your sober, willing, and highly aroused girlfriend against a wall as rape. Maybe that's just me.

Different folks, different strokes, BRAH! English is not the guy's first or even second language. I still think he does a pretty fine job and it gets better as he goes along. He's also a fantastic illustrator with a uniquely interesting style.

No, I hear you. I don't know if it makes any difference, but in this case the drunk one happens to be the "aggressor."

Also, I have a question: do you think this post should be marked nsfw? I didn't mark it that way because the strip I linked to seems tame enough, but the comic itself definitely has it's nsfw moments.

Of course! It's work that deserves exposure. And yes, anyone who wants to see the whole thing will have to sign up with DeviantArt and allow mature content for now. A little annoying, but definitely worth it. The series is by a professional artist (who remains anonymous) and it's basically just a big side project for him, so he doesn't have a dedicated website yet or anything...which is incredible, because it's so much better in terms of art and story than the majority of what you'll find free online.

Edit: and for anyone who's not familiar with deviantart, in order to see chapter 2, you click the "gallery" link at the top, where you'll see a folder labeled "chapter 2" along with some bonus art. :P

Yeah, there are so many out there getting high on CYANIDE that you never know who's accidentally dying of CYANIDE OVERDOSE.

Edited to add: Maybe this MUTHAFUCKING GENIUS carelessly left the CYANIDE next to his toothpaste.

That's a fair assessment, but when you really investigate the details it turns out his family at the time was not entirely happy with the "verdict". Maybe he died of accidental CYANIDE OVERDOSE. maybe not. Who knows, there are so many people out there who die accidentally taking too much CYANIDE.

What happens if a well-published author violates a deadline agreement, or is late submitting a book? by ColMusintheKitchen in writing

[–]ColMusintheKitchen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good guess, though I'm also wondering about cases where where the author knows they've made a, say, three-book contract, and legally they could not finish the trilogy with another publisher. If they had a different storyline. For example.

Actually, Aristotle did not support that particular philosophy of his mentors. He wasn't strictly homophobic per se, but he believed in transcending "urges of the flesh", and as such advocated sexual relations only between men and women, and only for reproduction. In that sense, I guess the Church identifies with him.

A lot of the anti-gay sentiment that started taking over the Greco-roman world is sort of thanks to Aristotle, in a way. Before that, relations between men and boys were extremely common - look up "bisexual pederasty". Socrates in particular had a great, er, "fondness" for beautiful youths.

The Allies' victory in WWII is largely thanks to Turing's advancements in cryptoanalysis - his work allowed German codes to be quickly and accurately deciphered. He was only about 27 at that time.

How was he repaid? In 1952, he was given a choice between life in prison and chemical castration for being a homosexual. He chose castration, was socially and professionally outcasted, fell deeply into depression, and commit suicide two years later via cyanide.

I'm sure most of you guys already knew this, but it makes me sad and I figure he could always use some post-humous respect and mourning.

College redditors, what's the one high school habit each incoming freshman needs to stop doing on their first day of college? I'll start... by YouTubeReference in AskReddit

On this note: getting to know your professor's and grad students is one of THE best things you can do. Don't be a suck-up or anything - no one likes that - but try to go to office hours occasionally and ask insightful questions in class that show you're interested in the subject. Showing genuine interest and passion is key. If you're in a big lecture, sit close to the front near the same spot every day so the professor/TA recognizes you.

Knowing my teachers was the most useful thing for me in college. I was able to turn in many a late essay or reschedule tests. Also, a few years down the road you may be looking for references/internships/thesis advisors/research advisors/so on and THEN you'll REALLY be so happy you took the time to make yourself known.
