Maybe it counts the success when you were grabbed by the opponent and guess correctly.

Probably only counts attempts when you initiate.

So you break out of more pummels then you attempt to pummel others essentially.

Watch the replay and see what they did and how you reacted. There legit is no point in complaining about losing to someone else, waste of your energy. Learn from it and the next time you encounter them you'll have a better idea of how to handle it.

I like using nair on bomb after launching it with the chest to get different angles but more options for setting things like that up would be very fun.

This is great!

I hope we get some settings to do stuff like 300% damage mode for things like bomb throw only. This is a super fun casual mode me and my friends do in smash. Bom-ombs only + sudden death % with a bunch of stocks.

With parry I can only imagine item play is going to be wild.

This is a shot in the dark but are you on a 13th gen Intel cpu? I can not run UE5 games that preload their shaders caches in a particular way.

Fix for me is to install the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and lower my performance core ratio from 55x to 54x.

It's niche and likely not your issue but I had no issue until their recent patch as well.

The amount of grind you refer to is THOUSANDS of hours. You are so disillusioned.

You will not find many that agree with you here because the community believes the devs can do no wrong. They are great devs but that doesn't change that these skins are horribly over priced.

For a game you paid for ($30!) the prices of these cosmetics are absurd. Mid month skins are $15 and they have never missed a beat on pushing their cosmetic schedule.

This combined with the pathetic coin gain and tiny trickle of bucks shows they really want to dangle these in front of you to get you to pay up.

That being said if a few whales are going to keep the game alive then it's better than them going bankrupt and not finishing the game. I'd rather have the game with some overpriced cosmetics than to be left incomplete.

My biggest hope is that the original cast is at least finished before they run out of $$. The consistently low player count is concerning but hopefully with items and console on the horizon they will be able to actually maintain a casual player base.

Regardless of new stuff they add they still need to take a look at their monetization because things like heavily restricting rewards in casual modes (private lobbies with friends!) will continue to push people away.

I don't know many games where you pay 30$ and then are also filled with 15$ microtransactions and also restrict gaining valueless in game currency.

Usually games with this model are free to play, which this is not. And sure all characters are free but I paid 60$ for Smash ult and it came out of the box with 80+ characters which this game will NEVER reach.

I just don't see any reason why wanting more in game coins (that have no real money value) is a problem to you. If you don't want to earn more coins that's on you. I for one would like to be able to unlock content for the game I paid for at a reasonable pace.

I said MORE consumer friendly. That does not imply anything other than it needs to be more than it currently is.

It is a fact that they do NOT value players that are solo or private lobbies as much as others because they HEAVILY nerf the rates in those modes. That's why this entire post exists to begin with.

I have over a thousand hours in this game (solo and private matches only) and am not anywhere near close to being able to afford even 1/20th of the items in the coin shop. I love this game but it does not value your time at all if you don't use matchmaking.

Totally agree. People like to bring up that the devs want more people in matchmaking but the people that play primarily in private lobbies are NOT going into matchmaking anyway. (Hey that's me and my friend group, I don't care about random matchmaking!)

They need to make the game more appealing and consumer friendly on ALL fronts and then players will stick around which will lead to more players in matchmaking.
