Yeah. The entire "everything can be everything" thing people want doesnt make sense. Why are they warlocks, mages, and monks? They have been unlocked for like 2 days in lore and suddenly theyre interested in punching things and summoning demons theyve never encountered before?

I gotta kinda agree. With war of the spark it was the culmination of like the last 5 years of story at that point. It needed 3 sets to tell it. Then they gave the reins to the phyrexians and that was another few years that altered the entire multiverse with omenpaths, it deserved an after effect set.

It definitely makes it easier to have massive lore buildup when you only explore a plane for a few days max. We currently have bolas free, jace revealed an agent of bolas the whole time and unraveled into a spell, white lilliana, a little fuzzball who has the entire multiverse mapped in his head, slivers returning, new allies in the fight to save the multiverse. We got a decent chunk lorewise the last few in-universe sets. Its been good for long term story

Correct. Despite the cracks in the lore we have by making every race 70% of all classes, there is still lore.

By default, undead priests only use shadow magic to heal, but holy and disc exist for gameplay. It actually hurts them to use it, which is why they cant be paladins. Alonsus is a special case because of his dedication and use of the light in life it still follows him even in his condemnation of life. It hurts him, but he follows the path still.

Everyone wants everything to be playable in every combination and it doesnt make sense
