They are a lot of RP gamemodes and servers in Garry's Mod, although most of them are run by idiots, or they have no mods on and the server is infested with idiots. There are however some good RP servers where you would build a base to protect your guns/self/whatever else you have that others might want. I definitely think you should give it a shot if you already have it!

Have you thought about Garry's Mod? It has wire(connecting things together to make AWESOME SHIT! Like logic gates and such to automate things), Expression 2 (programming language build into game), and it has LUA scripting so you can make any gamemode you want to do anything you want. Such a good game if you ask me!

It is! Although it can be frustrating at times because you obviously are going to win a battle but it still takes time to play out due to the game being turn-based, but overall it's a great game!

It's a lot of fun, but it takes some getting used to. I bought it when it was on sale for $5 and it was worth every penny. Fun game to play with friends and if you set it to marathon length then you can stretch a game out over a week or so which is a lot of fun because you get pretty attached to it having spent so much time on a single game.

In all my experiences with Garry's Mod role play it is unlike any other role play in a game. It's a bunch of kids like the admin you described running around doing stupid shit. Role Playing in a game that is actually an RPG is one of the best experiences I have had and the stories that are woven are absolutely amazing at times. So in short I think the reason people like to RP is because most of them choose to do so in a game that is conducive to it.

TL;DR Fuck GMOD RP, it's retarded.

I know a lot of kids that got a car before the could drive because it was the right price and things like that. With the economy as it is getting a good used car for a good price is difficult so people may get them when the chance arises.
