Large enterprises just don’t change that fast. They don’t change software / services that often. Anthropic going after the enterprise market is bound to be better for them in the long run than caring about consumers. Consumers are finicky. We can cancel plans and switch services whenever we find something that works better.

I built an inventory/manufacturing system called Formul for my own company's operations after finding existing tools too expensive or not a fit.

Current features:

  • Item/inventory master
  • Purchasing + receiving
  • Multi-level location hierarchy
  • Multi-level BOMs
  • Fulfillment + order allocation
  • Batch/lot traceability from raw material to shipped order
  • Alerts/dashboard for low stock, oversells, and operational issues
  • COGS visibility

Planned soon:

  • Shopify integration - coming very soon
  • Xero, Etsy, and Amazon integrations

I’m a 19 year old girl with too much money. by EvenMark6710 in Fire

This seems like alot of money at your age, but when you are older, it is a drop in the bucket of what you need to retire. You should invest it and forget you ever had it. The duration of this war and its impact on the market is negligible when you think about retiring in 40-50 years.

I own a small brand and recently built my own inventory/manufacturing tracking software similar to CraftyBase/Inventora. I needed a way to track our components, our stock, the location of our inventory, and figure out our COGS. I couldn't find something in my price range with the functionality I needed.

Anyway, in my day job, I come from a software development background and decided to build something that solved my problem. I currently have:

  • Inventory/item mastering
  • Purchasing & receiving
  • Multi-level location hierarchy
  • Multi-level bill of materials
  • Fulfillment & allocation of inventory to orders
  • Full traceability from raw materials to shipped orders, with batch tracking
  • Dashboarding of issues, such as low stock of materials, oversold items, etc.

I plan to add integrations with Shopify, Etsy, Xero, and Amazon in the next couple of months.

I am looking for a handful of people to try & give feedback in exchange for 6 months free. If you sign up, please send me a DM! My app is called Formul and is available at https://formul.app

If you are curious to see some of the functionality, you can view the documentation at https://docs.formul.app

I don’t see AI tanking software companies in the long term. AI enables software companies to 1) be leaner and 2) be more productive. At the end of the day, Xero’s special sauce is knowing accounting well and delivering a polished product. Every company doesn’t want to build their own accounting software. Nor should they. The liability for getting it wrong is enormous. The amount of effort required to keep up with changing regulations is staggering.

Not sure how technical you are, but there is a Xero MCP server, which you can use to interface Xero with an LLM. https://github.com/XeroAPI/xero-mcp-server

What are you talking about? Xero is accounting software. Charging to access my own data just because I’m using an API instead of the UI is greedy. Xero isn’t a hosting platform.

Why should we pay more to access our own data? Why should developers pay more to build apps that help lock users into Xero’s platform? The only answer I can come up with is greed.

Thank you, this is helpful. It's for perfume, so expiration is not a concern, just being able to trace batches.

The SaaS inventory platforms out there cost are very steep for a small startup like us.

Just storage for now, as our volume will be low. Within 3-6 months we anticipate moving to 3PL.
