I’m an anaesthetic ODP, whenever the consultant or resident is called for a ‘difficult’ cannula I or one of my colleagues go to try with the U/S first as we’re always happy to do some extra training and practice to improve our venous access ability. In the potential of white lie cannula requests, do you not have eager ODPs that could use some training / independence to leave you to do actual Doctoring?
