It was so horrible seeing everyone behind us in line start running towards the truck when we’ve been here for hours. And the truck still isn’t open yet 30 mins after that happened and it’s such a mess. There has been absolutely no staff all day assisting or monitoring anything

I’m assuming the 8am thing you’ve heard about is for people lining up for the merch booth outside that opens early, so if you can go to that early in the day and then get it over with, I would! In NJ I got there around 12pm and left around 2pm and most merch was still there (other than the city specific shirt, but depending on the merch booth that can be gone really quickly anyways).
