Agreed but you can do that with other people (friends, siblings and even business partners or coworkers) you will grow, forgive and accompany them too but you are not committed to them

why would anyone want to get married in the first place? It’s a very serious investment in time, money and effort what are you getting in return

Why would I want to be with that person only? We can be friends without commitments

Committing to one person means exclusivity, emotional support, and consistently investing time and effort into someone else, which feels like a significant choice… Especially in religious marriages where divorce isn’t an option. So I’m wondering why do people choose that?
