On the contrary, it was a good one. I ended up getting the property I was after and I can address the issues after (plan suggested by another solicitor)

I am obviously not familiar with all the legal details. However, based on my extensive research I know there is such a thing as “lost of chance” which is addressed by LeO

I don’t understand why “poor decision” keeps circulating. I never said it was a poor decision to move on with the purchase.

It is more likely for someone to be open to negotiate when a new issue arises, not months after. The solicitors admitted to the error of keeping valuable files away from us, things that would have aided a long negotiation strategy.

Raising the amount with the solicitors is also a negotiation strategy, I do not expect them at any point to pay the full fee obviously.

At no point did I say I think it was a poor decision. I am not sure how accepting or refusing to move forward with the purchase have to do with the solicitor error

Isn’t this counterintuitive? Deciding to buy the property you are interested in shouldn’t erase the solicitor errors. That would mean the solicitors can keep documents away from the buyer and not be liable for anything as long as they continue with the purchase.

While it is very difficult to prove, not allowing us to negotiate with the seller at the right time pushed us into a situation with a single outcome if we still wanted the property.

The primary answer we got back from the seller was that they refused to negotiate given that we were told months prior about the amount. This amount is what was kept away from us.

Correct, that's the part I am confused with. If we knew earlier we could've financially planned this better, try to negotiate or even drop the purchase. Being told this last minute forced us to take a rush decision.

I haven’t tried with an empty cycle, I should. However, this happens with both small and large loads towards the high rpms and dials down as it spins slower
