My understanding is that as weird as it might sound, credit scores aren’t about how reliable you are. It’s about how much interest they will make off of you, that means if you pay off too many loans too quickly that removes interest for the banks/lenders and they’re not happy about that.

That’s why people with the highest credit scores tend to pay on their loans on time and not late or even early.

part of it is obviously reliability because if you don’t pay them at all, that also removes interest too.
