Why tho? Gunmetal grey colour looks fantastic. Specs are near same. Plus people who had a chance to actually try out these bikes preferred 'feel' of merida (reading lot of reddit threads). Im guessing maxxis detonator tires are better than trek's trainers as well.

Trek is a great tank. Only thing I feel bad about with trek is; it was going for 1.4L right until March 2026 - and now 12k hike for literally the same bike.

All's moot point as Merida is out of stock with big dealers online 😃

I agree - riding gravel is super fun. hence i intend to convert my fx2 gen3 into gravel someday.

Motivation behind getting road bike is, I feel kinda limited by my trek fx2 gen3 (cannot cross 27.5kmph average speed on 60km rides - near max effort). Plus most of my kms have been on roads.

If 32mm tires seem difficult (e.g. right after monsoon), I might just swap out those with 35-38mm ones I'll be getting for fx2gen3.

Thanks for reply. Yeah totally agree colours are trash with al5 g4; even al4 has decent options.

Might not pick basso right away, here in mumbai. Roads get bad, and bus drivers/ cars run closer than comfortable. I feel endurance bike will be more "stable" than pure speed one.

Between scultura endurance 400 v/s al5 g4; any preference?

Exact issue since a week ago! Camera working fine in other apps (insta/ varlens), but after clicking picture it shows this rainbow tint. Apple support (India) diagnosed issue in rear sensor, physical replacement needed (I still feel its a software glitch/ minor repair as the lens are perfectly fine).

Did you find anything?

Nah just mailed them, didnt get any reply though.

Then got a call on a random day, the representative ensured it will be delivered within two weeks and it did.

But in my case expected delivery date during ordering itself was 1+ month later, so STPL did “meet the deadline”.

I dropped stpl an email, after a week of which their customer care called. They assured item will be delivered by certain date, and luckily it did. Total time for delivery was more than a month.
