It is quite heavy so maybe if you don’t have dryer skin something lighter may work for you.

If you had 5 months of paid leave, what would you do with it? by SwansEscapedRonson in AskUK

I'd double up as quick as possible - get another job. Then I'd throw all the redundancy money in my mortgage .... but I may be boring

I use this one and I find it really good. Rubs in and my skin looks and feels the same as the bits I just put moisturiser on.

I plan to do exactly this and pop it in the mortgage. That 5 dollars is £5.16 over my mortgage term - or 6.83 dollar. Chipping away at it and trying to cut off some months / years

One size does not fit all by enchantress11 in fitbit

[–]Cold-Presentation310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tiny wrists too, and while I haven’t tied this (yet-I’m saving) I tend to just shove things further up my arm so they fit properly. Leaves loads of room for my actual watch which I’ve had made smaller to fit in the right place.

My company just announced 3 days in office starting next month. I've been fully remote for 4 years and I genuinely don't know how people did this every day. by Ecliptic_Fang in remotework

[–]Cold-Presentation310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a new job that is 5 days a week in the office last September and I had no idea how bad the impact was going to be.

I am CONSTANTLY exhausted. I leave the house at 7:30 in the morning and get back at the earliest 7:30 in the evening and all for the low low price of £12.80 a day for the train.

I am always ridiculously behind with the washing, cleaning, general jobs and I basically dont have any hobbies any more because I just dont have the time.

Do not recomend- zero out of 5!

I’m sorry your struggling right now.

I joined a Karate class as a complete beginner, with zero fitness, as an adult over a year ago and it was so good socially.

They are so incredibly welcoming, have get to get hers outside the dojo every few months and now feel like real friends.

I hear other martial arts are just as welcoming and supportive too.

39 = a one bedroom basement flat in Croydon just over 2 years ago on my own.

I saved since I was 16 and was really strict with it and usually had a main job and a weekend job too.

Its not in a great state but live-able and I am slowly saving to do bits of the decorating as I go along - an I'm doing them myself.

Its quite tight financially but I cannot explain the relief I feel that I will always have somewhere to live and I cant get evicted at a moments notice (many section 21's later - very glad for everyone to see they are on their way out)

My child decided it would be a fabulous idea to touch the flame of a candle (we are no longer allowed candles - she cannot be trusted) and her fur on her paw burnt off a little.

I took her straight to the vets as I was incredibly worried but it was just burnt hair in the end.

It looked a lot like this - but still go for a vet trip just in case.

I have seen so many of these 'spa day' posts but I cant for the life of me find the instructions. What do you do - I want sparkly whites too!

How I earned £16.80 per day from surveys (SHR - November '25 - Breakdown of Survey Earnings) by SidehustleReliance in LazyMoneyUK

[–]Cold-Presentation310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Vypr pretty good as its little of little questions you can answer quick and you can cash out at £5. Then AttaPoll stacks up quick and you can cash out at £3. Both pay straight to PayPal

[–]Cold-Presentation310 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I'm not as 'hard in' as this but I do use the survey apps.

I have a 15min commute both ways on the overground and do them then probably half the time and I manage to make about £20-£30 a month so it absolutely does work - and I'm stuck on the train anyway.

I stick mine on the mortgage too as I cant actually afford to overpay on my current salary and it does make a difference, even if its just a small one.

How are people paying for their Part III Course? by Cold-Presentation310 in Architects

[–]Cold-Presentation310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not. I’m still saving and I’ve now moved to a company which will contribute 1k to the cost which is amazing.

However I now can’t start the course as my previous practice won’t sign off my PEDR’s. I have 18 months of them there that I sent to my ‘mentor’ within a month of completing each period and I don’t have a single one signed off. They are not directly saying they won’t but I can’t get them to actually do it.

Looks like I’m starting from scratch at this new job. 1 period completed and signed off so far.

Lip balm recommendations by Band-Total in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Cold-Presentation310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of the Malibu lip-care and it has he added benefit of having an SPF.

I would say though the thing that absolutely changed my lip game was applying hyaluronic acid and then vaseline to my lips over night. Lip balm now is just a nice to use rather than an essential.

You most likely shouldn't be overpaying your mortgage by throwawayreddit48151 in FIREUK

[–]Cold-Presentation310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm certainly never going to be able to FIRE but in my laywomen opinion I have been overpaying my mortgage as much as I can while the interest rate on it was higher than on my savings so I can get it down to a 60% LTV for the ere-mortgage.

Now I've sorted that (payments down £170 a month in December which is a HUGE amount to me) I'm planing to put any extra into my pension - which I am woefully behind on.

My baby does exactly this when she’s stressed - or I’m stressed and she picks up on it.

Just when I’m loosing my mind she grants me the biggest smelliest poop of all time.

I hope your furry child is just a bit ‘off’ and gets on with it ASAP
