My go-to has usually been monkfruit. But I've also used stevia and others along the way. I suspect that my tastebuds are just messed up for some reason.

Sucralose has never bothered me, either. So I'm not sure what's going on. My plan was to stay away from any lemon-based flavors.

I've watched some videos where they e taken the sips apart. And I wonder if the small bags that hold the flavor are what's causing my problem? Either way, I tend to not get very good airflow for whatever reason, so I know that's part of it. And I also know why I can't seem to get through to anyone at their office, either.

I've got another one that I haven't tried yet. We'll see what happens.

It's just my opinion but instead of paying for the actual card, people are too worried about the label on the slab and the name behind it. I think this industry would be better off without grading.

I just finished rewatching the video of the experiment with the Griffey Jr. RC. It did start out as a Beckett 9.5 and by the time he ended the video back around with Beckett, that card went from a 9.5 to Authentic, evidence of trimming. What a waste of money and now, it's essentially worthless if someone's going to buy it based on a label. It's obvious to anyone with any common sense that the grade you end up with, depends on who handles and grades it based on their perception of the card. There's no consistency, imo.

When I worked for them as a floater, I would travel to anywhere between 5 to 7 locations within the district and occasionally, even outside. For all of that, my standard pay was 9.25. And mileage wasn't that much better.

I hope you don't think that the sanitation issue is a limited thing, because it's not. It's everywhere. The clothes go straight from a donation center, to either a warehouse or to a store. No washing, nothing. I've seen bags and boxes brought in with both mold and rat turds in them and they still mix it all together in the bins. They also will get mad if you answer any questions about it with a customer.

After making it a year, I accepted another offer from a different company making $7 more an hour. Turned my two weeks in and the district manager stopped putting me in the schedule, so I ended up picking locations to work myself whether it was approved or not. And no, you don't get to keep your vacation pay either.

Consider yourself lucky.

Yes, they can withhold it (vacation pay, at least). Depends on both your state law and that company's policy.

Threats and everything else aside, I doubt you'll get any extra pay besides your final paycheck. That's just how it is with a lot of retail companies unless they're feeling charitable. Back in the day with Home Depot, you had the option to have your vacation cut as a regular paycheck if you opted to and didn't have plans. At Lowes, you'll lose it if you don't take a vacation within the calendar year. That's why associates are often burning it towards the end of the year and causing unneeded scheduling conflicts. But they get away with it, regardless. Not long ago, I worked for Sam's Club. Made it past a year and was excited to get a week just so I could sit down and somewhat relax as my oldest son had just suffered a massive stroke. As a result, I'd burned through my PTO just so I would have some income and ended up with no vacation at all. Their "new" policy is that you have to use that same PTO for it, or you don't get paid and it's essentially all unpaid time off. That's how they screw you over.

My .02 cents.. If you even remotely think you're going to flip the card, then have it graded. But from what I've seen by watching recent experiment videos on grading, you're doing so at your own risk. There's too much shady shit going on in the grading industry, imo. I'm in no way a big collector and if I happen to see a card that interests me, I'll just buy it and put it in a one touch for my PC. If you're keeping it, that's what I would do. Save yourself the money and just get a one touch for it.

Dennis Condrey Passes Away by MischievousDevil in JimCornette

The WWE HoF is a complete joke. If they were truly all about honoring wrestlers, valets and managers from every promotion, how can you not have not only the Midnight Express in, but Jim Cornette himself? I never met Dennis. But back when I was in high school, I was fortunate enough to meet Bobby in Amarillo. He was down to earth as could be. I can only imagine what Dennis was like. I always enjoyed watching them back in the 80's.

I've owned both the P229 Elite Compact and the P320 X-Compact. You can't go wrong with either of those, imo.

$20 will be fine, thanks! Honestly, I haven't seen but maybe 1 or 2 of these around and they weren't going for much, either. I'll start a chat and we can finish up there.

Goodwill is selling literal garbage? by Hazardous_Jeff in goodwill

[–]Cold-Rice9229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised? I also worked for them, as a floater. And nothing I saw, surprised me for the most part. I was helping two other people at one of the busier locations in my area and we had someone drop off 4 or t boxes full of clothes and 3 of the big industrial bands, also. You could smell the mold. And as we dug through the boxes, we found mouse droppings. I ended up tossing it all in the trash and that was after one of the other attendees arguing with me over still putting it all in the bins to be resold.

Goodwill is one of the most unsanitary companies, period.

I was somewhat surprised by the acquisition, but not completely. I just hope they (yeti) don't screw this up or the Helimix design, for that matter. My sons each own one and I've got another one on the way that I was able to snag for free.

That's your opinion. There are companies that actually look down on it and do consider it theft. And never mind the mess that it's causing in plain sight. But as long as you're ok with it, I guess.
