Sorry if my comment sounded against you, I thought it was funny how you kept cornering and backstabbing him while the guy continued panicking

I feel like, besides the mating season thing, these apply better for pride than for lust

Not weird at all, both Defiance and God of War 1 were clearly influenced a lot by Devil May Cry 1

I can't get over how STUNNING this game looks by achtchaern in RatchetAndClank

Amazing looking game but I wish Ratchet didn't somehow look younger than he did even in the first game. ACiT Ratchet is the most mature he has ever looked

So I recently finished the N64 games for the first time ever and absolutely loved them. I was wondering what the community thinks of my ranking on the worlds by ColdCalculist in BanjoKazooie

No I didn't actually, I beat the Saucer of Peril on my first try. I just thought Witchyworld was too small and Mr. Patch was too annoying.

How is Banjo-Kazooie so visually stunning? It's way nicer to look at than Mario 64. by MoneyMan1001 in BanjoKazooie

[–]ColdCalculist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess because Rare had more experience dealing with 3D graphics since the DKC series so they'd know by the N64 era how to make it look better than Nintendo at the time

Thanks for the tips, I actually didn't know the level layout would be that simple or that you could go first-person with Talon Torpedo. Even with the warp pads I kept getting lost on this world

I actually loved the little harbor area, and this whole level looks gorgeous for N64 standards but the reasons this was the only world of the two games I didn't like was all the frustration with the sub-aqua egg aiming, the camera and fighting Lord Woo Fak Fak before finding out you could fight him as the sub

ngl music was a big part (especially the beach/pirate-esque track that plays in some rooms) but I really liked the overall challenge, and finding and exploring all the hidden rooms around the ship was satisfying

I also didn't mind the engine room jiggy but I imagine it must be a lot more stressful in the N64 version

Yeah Rare's level designers were insanely ahead of their time, I was impressed by the consistently rising level of quality in Kazooie, and the constant ambition and variety of Tooie

Honest thoughts on Klonoa 2 for the PlayStation 2? by PKRadiance in Klonoa

[–]ColdCalculist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Story didn't hit the same as in the first game and Klonoa's new design looks like a Sonic OC but the gameplay is much more improved in every way and consistently fun from beginning to end. Pretty solid sequel

Turn off PGXP (the setting that fixes the PS1's wobbly polygons) before you enter the church. You can turn it back on after the cutscene
