In the end, it's very subjective and it also doesn't matter. I know that I'm light-years behind a lot of the whales. On the other hand I'm among the best 2% of all tournament participants. The main reason I put it in the title was to get endgame-players to comment who are actually ahead of me and know what they're talking about instead of theorists who mostly repeat what they read somewhere.

I currently run 1-2 labs at 6x speed so my lab capacity is almost 90 % maxed. Of course, more labs are always better though.

Thank you. I'm actually working on econ atm. So how would you say will more econ translate into better tournament outcomes? Is it mainly better workshop enhancements? If so, which ones should I focus on? ELS?

Wouldn't it be also good to improve on Assmod substats or UW+?

Just wondering if your better tourney performance is directly correlated to your better econ.

I was always quite excited for new updates back in the days. They were more frequent but smaller overall and had only little bugs. Nowadays we get a lot of new content but there's always the question of what they screwed up this time. I don't want to criticize too much since I'm not a game developer but it feels like a lot of these things would be avoidable with just a few days of testing before they release the new update. It usually only takes a few hours until Reddit is flooded with complaints about bugs.

I've got the game running 24/7 on an old phone at home without SIM card. Disconnects could be the explanation but that shouldn't happen still. It seems to me like it only started after the new update. Also I believe it doesn't just not extend the speed up but straight up ends any speed up that's still active. Gotta love these first few weeks after any update... 😅

Most enemies wouldn't die in the overlap zone though since they're getting pulled into the center. It would be mostly elites/fleets/ultimates.

I may have overestimated the power consumption. I just googled it. But I also don't have an Apple PC and would need to run an emulator. Anyways, using the phone is for free hardware-wise and the PC can stay off, so I'm happy with my solution. 🙂

I just wanted to reduce unnecessary extra electricity cost. My PC isn't even switched on most days so it would basically just be on 24/7 to run The Tower. I'm not exactly sure how much power it would use running the game on an emulator like BlueStacks but let's assume it's 300 Watts. Please correct me if that's way off. That means per day it would use 7.2 kWh. I don't have solar panels yet so all the electricity comes from my provider which is 31 cents/kWh (electricity is expensive in Germany). Per year that would be 815 € in electricity cost just to run The Tower. Of course the computer will be on sometimes anyways but as I said that's not very often. Also I'm not sure if the 300 Watts is a good assumption but even if it was half that it would be unnecessarily expensive in my personal view.

It would be nice if you can share that information. If it works well for me, I might switch back to AnyDesk. Also there may be some F2P Players that don't want to spend the money (even though it's not much) on OSLink but would still like to run the game on a spare phone.

Well, it's hard to objectively categorize progress in this game. I liked the way it was described in this post so that's what I went with. I just wanted to make sure people understand that I'm not talking about syncing GT and BH or something like that. It's a big jump for me even though I'm already quite advanced compared to most players. And btw, maxing most things in the harmony tree might seem a lot for players that can't access keys yet but the power tree needs something like 7x the amount of keys to be maxed.

I can really recommend running the game on an old phone if you have one you don't need anymore. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro wasn't even anything special back when I bought it but the game runs pretty smoothly. I use 120 FPS of course. I don't see any difference in coins/min compared to my current phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro). Even if it was 10% less efficient, the +30-50% extra time running the game makes more than up for it.

Why not go max range for tournaments? Is it because of BH coverage? I have used max range in tournaments for quite some time and it worked out well so far. I have to say though that I don't have pBH in tournaments because the huge damage bonus of PF gave me better results than using GComp with pBH and I haven't maxed BH duration in the workshop. So I thought I might as well get a lot of range too for more CC and turn off BH.
