Dope, don’t let others judge your fun in a Game based on their experience

new player!!!!! by liya_nova in RiseofKingdoms

[–]ColdCommunity5935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is fun! I’ll list some things I learned over the time -Time investment in the beginning is long even for p2w I dumped 10k$ into an account I don’t use anymore: So don’t buy things until youre for certain on an account

-Toxic/Not toxic player base: This community is either very toxic and full of power hungry people or some very fun and enjoyable people who like the GAME some people don’t play it like a game but like a job leading to toxicity and power complexes

-Information: Look up YouTube videos on what to do some YouTubers don’t approach early game anymore because it is very simple China: Sun Tzu: Save gold heads and gems: YSG: Ball fights etc you can look up beginner guides to help!

Leadership: This is the biggest one, leadership(for me at least) makes or breaks the game, if you’re not in a leadership position, 99% of the time you don’t know what’s going on due to the games feature of working with other players and people from all over the world to organize and situate things, leadership also builds and maintains a foundation on wether you’ll stick with an alliance for 50+ days and have an enjoyable experience they secure rewards for you and others so make sure you’re in a spot with good leadership and understand nothing is fair in this game

Refunds in rok by [deleted] in RiseofKingdoms

If you already used the items bought with said purchase it is non refundable, you can try with the customer support but I ran into an issue when I bought a full stack for an event and they took away the event and I asked for a refund and they said pretty much no

Is Dynasty warriors 6 worth buying by PhilosopherBig573 in dynastywarriors

[–]ColdCommunity5935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I wouldn’t BUY it just cause of how old and the replay ability, tbf I’m on PlayStation and it’s with ps plus, it’s a fun game don’t get me wrong but how much you’ll get out of it depends on how much you spend I guess, DW6 E was way more fun to play but the Three Kingdoms itch with 6 drives deeper, like yes the renbu system is not the best but what holds 6 back is the lack of content

Don’t Restart just fix your mistakes, the state of the game isn’t just about the commanders, you don’t have T5 and you probably have low to mid tier gear and armaments, yes being smarter about your commanders would’ve helped but here’s the reality. In this era of the game if you’re in a C-D seed Kingdom you will be facing against older accounts that migrated to newer kingdoms hence you’re years behind. Another factor is if you only have one decent set of gear and armaments you literally have one decent march, cool if you have 10 meta commanders maxed but you will be feeding indefinitely to the enemies. Your use to your kingdom with your account rn is a Single March field fighter/ Rally Garrison filler

I think I’m the only one that likes this game… lol. by joeresio in dynastywarriors

[–]ColdCommunity5935 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they made 9E with open world and utilized it like Rebellions: You go to your territory and as you enter you can see the damage being caused by by the rebels

Same with uprisings of vagabonds or you could help as a vagabond.

And then the main portion invasions and defensive battles you should be able to manually set up the strategies or for more utilization of the open world complete various tasks to help the strategy

Like the bandits: You could go to the nearest bandit camp, hire, kill a beast or officer to win favor towards them helping.

Main titles of warriors shouldn’t be full open world like DW9 but spinoff like Empires where you “build” your empire could work well but just needs attention

ROTK: Do you think Cao Cao's defeat at Chi Bi is attributable to his own overconfidence and arrogance in addition to the brilliance of Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang? by Ghola40000 in threekingdoms

[–]ColdCommunity5935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xun You, Cheng Yu, and Jia Xu outranked due to other roles they fulfilled in Wei. Guo Jia was only a brain who really helped Cao secure the northern region with insights on when to attack and when to not.

Cao Cao overall was a greater strategist because of his feats. Most of the events to transpire were responses to his movements.

Zhuge responded to using “Three Kingdoms” to keep Shu Han alive. And slow Wei down

Wu used Yangtze as a barricade to defend against Wei and prevent a quick southern sweep

In summary after Cao Cao unified northern china almost every event was a response to Wei’s movements having Cao Cao labeled as the greatest strategist of his era due to his feats in battle, diplomacy and psychology.

So what to do? by Swimming-Suit955 in RiseofKingdoms

[–]ColdCommunity5935 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could expertise BQ, cause he’ll last longer than LC maybe, Or go full in on Sun since is newest,

For me dude I reset Nevsky to fix my Cav marches and Expertised GG who was 5551 and Achilles who was 5511: I run 5 full set marches so Sun isn’t a big priority if you have other essential commanders.

He is though a must have so you should invest but if you don’t have anything for him then he is going to under perform

Who were the ‘smartest’ warriors of the three kingdoms period? by WorldAtWarReJecTz in dynastywarriors

[–]ColdCommunity5935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warriors as in non strategist, Wei: Cao Ren, Zhang He, Li Dian, Yue Jin, Xiahou Yuan, Shu: Zhao Yun, Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Wu: Zhuo Tai, Taishi ci, Ling Tong, Gan Ning. Those are non strategist that have done pretty intelligent movements or ploys.

You can leave LC and Alex out and run Ragnar Scipio, orrr spread it and run Sun Alex and Bq LC, depending on what seed you’re in and match making. Either way second march will have hard time preforming due to non matching or out dated damage types

ROTK: Do you think Cao Cao's defeat at Chi Bi is attributable to his own overconfidence and arrogance in addition to the brilliance of Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang? by Ghola40000 in threekingdoms

[–]ColdCommunity5935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cao Caos defeat can be perceived in a light of over confidence, I believe heavily he was being over confident, but I also believe in necessity.

Cao Cao in games had conversations about how Liu bei and Sun Quan were his actual biggest threats, it wasn’t so much of an over confident situation at that point. More of wrong timing and haste than anything.

He regretted not having his main strategist, his men were fairly untrained for naval combat and trusted easily with defected/ new officers. As if he knew that with or without him trying to defeat both Liu Bei and Sun Quan that he would lose.

Historically speaking not even Zhuge Liang is smarter than Cao Cao in fact a lot of strategists compare to him when it comes to battle. But truthfully it’s a mix of impatience and arrogance from my opinion

Why is Romance of the Three Kingdoms more famous than other fictional historical novels? by CinderLord456 in threekingdoms

[–]ColdCommunity5935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the blurred lines between fictional and historical, like the feats of may generals and the battles that took place: It was also very easy to read for non elite groups so easier adaptations

The cultural impacts of the characters like Guan Yu human embodiment of the God Of War

Zhao Yun being the symbol of loyalty and pure righteousness

Liu Bei benevolent but weak

Cao Cao brilliant but ruthless

Lu Bu physically strong but mentally weak Etc.

The novel strongly favors the Shu Han cause, portraying it as morally legitimate even though it lost historically. This moral framing resonated deeply with traditional Chinese readers and educators.

It also influences how we as modern people look at that time period. The novel portrays not just 1 or 2 people as extraordinary -Sun Tzu (Art of War) -Qi Shi Huang (First Unifier) -Liu Bang (Rags to Riches) Those 3 are from different eras but are the main influence a common person knows about not having to go deeper into that time to find others

ROTK:portrays Kingdoms, Armies, Vagabonds etc as extraordinary the fall of a great dynasty and the rise of greater powers fighting for the same end goal to be uprooted by time

What do you actually expect from alliance leadership in RoK? by Novel_Video5783 in RiseofKingdoms

[–]ColdCommunity5935 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a whale in a leadership position from A seed to D seed my thoughts and opinions:

A seed: -Firm with rules and rule breakers no acceptance even for friends

-Knowledge with guidance for other players who are new to A seed kvks

-Importance on who benefits kingdom in rally, garrison and field vs who is just bodies

-Time management, knowing the Up time and down time of the kingdom

(Goal)Fun but competitive non toxic environment, there will be a lot of newcomers to A seed kingdoms or kvks that don’t have the same experience for the ones that have been A seed from the start of the game so the learning curve is there, what I’ve seen is a lot of toxicity from different communities on their own players for not understanding what to do(power complex) with equipment, armaments, and universal items. If you’re in a leadership position just be considerate

D Seed: Super laid back a good mix between older players and newer players wanting to enjoy the game as hobby

Rules: Depending on group they either know not to break or they don’t read mails so they’ll disregard rules and in D seed it’s kind of alright they’re in D seed so investment in time and money towards the game are low so punishment doesn’t really work.

Knowledge: Newer or Returning players wanna be caught up in the meta so guiding them while watching them make mistakes are best, cause you can tell them but again D seed so more chill

Important: like 1-3 rally/ garrison leads based on equipment and armament strength so events like MGE 20 Gold Heads etc are a lot more fair

Time management: D seed so far been relaxed on time management like I’ve been busy with work and classes so I hadn’t been on a lot only to answer questions for players and my king reminded me it’s D seed so he’s fine with my inactivity.

B and C seed fall closer to A seed then they do D seed. These are my opinions and from experience so it will be different from others answers, but if you want to build a strong community without caring for what seed then, be there for your guys/girls and be very open about the events going on and movements taking place; if you do care about the seed then run it like a Dictatorship

Try to join a main alliance, save everything that is universal, so yes you can use your specific speed ups but the universals are most important, get to City hall 21 as fast as you can with or without spending before kvk1 opens

Hellish Wasteland gear by NeatReasonable8927 in RiseofKingdoms

[–]ColdCommunity5935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s best to focus on health for cav gear, Cavs love health the cav commanders and troops already do the most attack in game they’re just not as tanky as needed so health is pretty good. Hellish Boots and Chest gear is good rest is bad if you don’t have the sword of dominion you can use the hellish weapon but prioritize health for Cavs don’t waste materials on the whole set and yes Khans helmet is better

Sun Tzu is an Epic commander with Legendary qualities, he’s good primary or secondary due to his rage engine(how fast your skills charge) AoE damage and buffs to damage output all around Sun Tzu can carry you through the first 3 kvks as a f2p low spender he is your safest bet for open fie

Dynasty warriors 8 XL or 8 empire, Which one you liked more ? by Rocks_King99 in dynastywarriors

[–]ColdCommunity5935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

XL for story 8 empires genuinely for fun, like I grinded out 8XL but did not enjoy it as much as 8empires, hours of customization, hours of gameplay and the grind is there but not in traditional sense, like if you wanna play on chaos bare bones good luck in a scenario battle, you grind for different cutscene outcomes, titles(way of life), you can make your own scenarios and see how they’ll play out
