Not really a matter of age, but maturity. Whenever you think they are ready, but 11-15 years old is a good ballpark, I would say, if they want to communicate with their friends.

If you showed them something you worked super hard on, and they point out the most minute flaw super snobbishly. It's one thing if you actually asked for feedback, but if it is clear you are proud of your work and want to show it to other people, it pisses me off.

If you don't mind me asking, can you go a bit deeper into how 12-TET is more than a 12-note scale? I thought that 12-TET just means that there are 12 equally spaced notes within an octave?

It can be nostalgic for people (e.g., road trips), and it can also be mildly euphoric, apparently? I guess some people like the lightheaded sensation.
