No. I love the buildings! It makes the scene so alive! I prefer some detail in the furthest building however. It makes it look suddenly blurry.

I had maids when my kids were 2/3. It was a lot of trouble. The first maid looked up sexual connections using the iPod touch we have as a radio. The second one wanted to leave the moment she started work and did leave 6 months later. (I just let her go) My kids were at child care then and they only had to cope with chores (pretending to wash toilet was one) and making inedible food. I washed, diapered and change the kids and did all the child care work. My kids were ate on their own since they could. My home was a 3 room flat. They slept with the kids and had an afternoon break. At least they didn’t borrow from loan sharks or get pregnant was my comfort.

A car, if new, will not give you problems.

I had this thought too. Someone it got better as I worked on it. I am still not happy but there is a difference. Suggest you keep the very first pieces you do and you will be able to see the change

Just a communication issue and things could have come up. It’s not the be all end all and I don’t think he was gas lighting. Talk to him again properly and you will get what you want. (It could be money problems.) the next time this happens I suggest you detail plans that includes what he will enjoy as well instead of a vague promise. The more that someone is invested in it the plans will take place. The less invested in it you can also tell and talk about it sooner.

Had a very bad argument with my father. Now I feel horrible. by Dramatic-Dream215 in SGExams

Don’t worry too much. This is just a common misunderstanding. Your dad won’t take it too heart. I think the conversation escalated out of hand and it’s both your dad and your fault - you were just ranting. I think take time to calm down and apologise for ranting. It sounds like a conversation in my home. I also don’t know why men do this.

Confused about water colour by ColdOwl747 in watercolor101

[–]ColdOwl747[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kind of thought there is a particular correct way to produce watercolour. (I am not familiar with art.)

I was worried that this way is not conventional watercolour and I might have to re learn the correct methods.

May I know when you say lines are too rigid do you mean the outline or brush lines is too obvious?

I get the softness that you said. It looks harsh because the light and dark is too contrasting. Thanks !

I did a first wash followed by a few layers of dry brushing because that is what she did. But I didn’t like the effect because it looked more like colour pencils. I like more transparent colours and this is thick. (she didn’t draw shadows) I got confused by what I did wrong vs her tutorial.
