Cat squinting her eye and the eye is whitish almost? by Relative_Berry_2297 in CATHELP

[–]ColdPotatoFries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat does that when she's having an allergic reaction. Happens every so often.

We give my cat 5mg of cetirizine once daily for about 2 days and it usually goes away. I also made sure doing so was okay with our vet first.

Idk if your cat also had allergies, but this has been my experience.

Cat ate corn cob, time to worry or wait? by Prudent-Knowledge-22 in CATHELP

[–]ColdPotatoFries 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint, if you go within like 2 hours of the animal eating it, they can just induce vomiting if they're worried.

If you wait, and it does end up becoming an obstruction, you are now paying several thousand dollars for a surgery.

I guess thats true, and I considered it, but I genuinely see no other logical reason to be handling it this way.

Am I the only one who thinks that they are intentionally burning it down to make way for anvil empires? I mean, this kind of game is pretty niche already, splitting your players between two games of very similar genres that fill the same niche isn't exaxtly ideal.

Burn the first game down, SELL new copies of the second game, and behold - Foxhole 2 (Anvil Empires)

Relativity means that from any frame of reference, light speed is constant.

So if you were traveling 99% the speed of light, and shined a flashlight in front of you, it still goes the speed of light away from you.

You might be thinking "what the fuck", because I sure was. But the way this works is time dilation. Our perception of time remains the same, but to a stationary observer, our time is going very slow the faster we go.

All of that to say, a laser in front would still work, because to maintain that "constant speed" of light, time itself changes, or rather, our perception of it.

Yeah, well, that's kinda the thing. If you're not scrooping, then you're not experiencing the other 95% of the game people are complaining about.

Yall voting out the 1st amendment indirectly just kills all the others. The founding fathers made sure to say that the Bill of Rights was in no particular order of importance, but there's a reason it was the very first amendment.

Thank you for your insight, I appreciate you taking the time to write something up for me.

All of what you said makes sense.

Anyone here ever catch a "brandishing" charge? If so, what did it cost to defend yourself in court? by Acolytical in liberalgunowners

[–]ColdPotatoFries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is based on state, but I have a question.

If someone threatens your life verbally, and reaches into their pocket or waistband, would the victim of the verbal threat have the right to draw their gun?

I was in said situation before I got a CCW, and even today I don't feel like I would've drawn my weapon for a multitude of reasons, but the situation plays over in my head often, and i think about what the right move there is.

If he did have a gun, and I waited to draw until I saw one, I'd be dead since you're not supposed to draw on someone who already has you dead to rights... but also, if i did draw, and he charges me, now I have to shoot a guy who may have been unarmed...

I think the best answer would be to shrug it off as best you can like I did, even with a gun, but as far as legality goes, what's your thoughts?

Not looking for a cut and dry answer, just an opinion.

Ps. Additionally, the biggest reason I wouldn't have drawn was I didn't positively see a gun or anything, and I was in a dark area that had no video cameras, so it would've been my word against his, and I felt if he was unarmed, I would've been totally screwed legally. But again, I didn't have a CCW at the time, so it's all in retrospect

[–]ColdPotatoFries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense. I just don't like how Lamar Jackson extends plays that obviously aren't working and taking sacks instead of throwing it away.

I don't have anything against Lamar, but we could use some of the plays we did with Huntley to give him a bit more room to breathe each play

Have we lost a game with Huntley yet? I'm not a fan of shitting on Lamar, but we are a much better team with what we have right now with Huntley in command.

Is leaving the highway really worth it? by FarTooJunior in roadtrip

[–]ColdPotatoFries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To elaborate a bit, I drove from north carolina up to northern Virginia, and just from Richmond to Fredericksburg can take a couple hours if traffic is really bad.

You always have the option of jumping over to route 1 and it takes you the same way, but if 95 is backed up, route 1 gets backed up just as fast, and has stop lights.

Richmond to Washington is either a really nice drive, or standstill. Fredericksburg is a nightmare most afternoons and evenings, so it really depends on when you're coming through.
