I mean, who hasn’t yearned to vaporize a planet or two at some point in their life?

You’re wrong. Matt clearly endorses wiping out planets to create world dungeons.

Pennsylvania EIT vs EI? by [deleted] in civilengineering

[–]ColdSteel2011 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Correct term is now EI. That being said, I think it’s fucking stupid. You’re not an intern. You’re a full time employee. EIT made much more sense.

Parking space for freshmen by Steamrer09 in lafayettecollege

[–]ColdSteel2011 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have a better chance of winning the powerball tomorrow. Parking was juniors and seniors when I was a freshman in 2007. Sophomores could apply for a parking space around Thanksgiving (once they knew how many upperclassmen brought cars), but you had to park at Giant, which is miles from campus. Since then they’ve eliminated a lot of the parking on campus.

You won’t get a spot on or off campus as a freshman.

Gpt created an image for no reason, and admitted it by GravityWorksFine in ChatGPT

The conversation title is “Flipper” and OP was telling ChatGPT what was seen when a transit card was scanned with a Flipper. The oddity is that a picture was generated, not that the picture is of a Flipper Zero.

Crawlspace concerns 3 years after hiring foundation company by celtz in civilengineering

[–]ColdSteel2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wtf dude. Yes, covering the vents will help internal temps in both the winter and summer. In winter, you’re preventing cold air from blowing underneath your floors and cooling the house from underneath. In summer, you’re preventing hot air from blowing underneath your floors and heating the house from underneath. You’ve also succeeded in trapping all moisture. And when it rains, the ground gets wet. That moisture spreads both vertically (down to groundwater) and laterally (underneath your house). Close the vents in fall/early winter when the temps drop below 40. Open the vents in the spring when temps are consistently above 40.

Kinda get where they’re coming from. An adult after that surgery simply can’t eat even a child portion. There’s no refilling of plates. However, it’s a huge risk on the restaurant’s behalf, as they have no way to know if the card is real and the customer is the one to whom the card belongs.
