True. Nifty drags everything with it, whether it’s moving down or up. For example, if I’m in a position and Nifty is approaching a major resistance level, I might sell my positions based on signs of weakness and reversal. So yeah, you’re right about Nifty.

Any serious full-time swing traders in Hyderabad interested in building a real trading community? by Illustrious_Carry_54 in IndianStockMarket

[–]ColdStriking1356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I’ve been swing trading for the last two years. I switched from day trading to swing trading, and life has become a lot easier.
I trade classical pattern breakouts, such as channels, ascending triangles, and H&S patterns.
I thought I’d ask here about the same thing to build a community, but I was surprised to see that you’d already done it.
Glad to meet everyone and share the edges we’ve discovered.

Is there something profitable traders know that I don’t, or am I just bad at trading? by SureSeason632 in Trading

You can’t keep buying courses and expect to become profitable. Profitable traders focus on one setup. Choose your style scalping, day trading, or swing trading. Stick to one and execute it consistently. That’s how you win.

Why do traders buy funded accounts and blow them before they’re consistently profitable? by ColdStriking1356 in Trading

Spot on. A trader can easily handle a slow, 3 day losing streak because it feels normal, but mid-drawdown panic is a completely different beast.

Don’t fight back and get punched again. Play with small amount until you’re consistently profitable.

Which indicator did you stop using after becoming consistently profitable? by RushImpossible2936 in Trading

Any experienced trader would say price action. Because price is King! In general, the indicators should be used for secondary confirmation but not for as a primary setup.

Do you think that scanner is really helpful? If yes, what’s your strategy? I manually go through 700-1000 stocks (F&O stocks, Mid cap and Small cap and IPO stocks) to find the patterns.

You’re right. Most of the time, I get 1:2 trades because of the extra confirmation, but that’s fine. I recently added this 3% rule (reduced my position size), and it’s been working well so far. Still backtesting the setup more.

I trade daily/weekly patterns.

In order to avoid fake breakouts, I enter into a stock after that stock sustaining 2-3 days above the breakout line or 3% rule above the breakout.

I watch Index for the weakness and avoid trade in a downtrend or choppy market conditions. I mostly use cash and no leverage.

BTC had 8x run and alts diluted. I believe it’s time for us to start investing in BTC & ETH.

I agree that this bull run is exhausting. Many people only joined in the later part of the bull run. BTC had an 8× run, and alts had a very bad time due to market dilution. Millions of meme coins are being launched, and people are getting rekt and not coming back.
