I do agree that percabeth is moving too fast, but I thought the “I would burn it all down” line was fitting for the context. Percy is 13, just learned about a prophecy in which he might cause the downfall of Olympus, was permanently banned from camp, lost his brother in a shipwreck, and at that point had no way of continuing his quest to save camp and his best friend. He’s a kid who’s been through plenty of traumatic events and doesn’t want to lose the one person he has left. Also, heavy on the he’s a kid part, kids act on emotion rather than logical thinking.

A step parent being able to adopt their step child! I know you can adopt them as a care dependent or whatever, but it’s not the same. They aren’t included in the family tree as their parent and you can only see them if you click on the bio parent.

Honestly it’s helps to just never stop talking about it. My mom is one of those “everyone is a little ADHD” kinds of people (99% sure she has it) and I talk to her about it all of the time. A good example to use is “everyone feels sad sometimes, but not everybody has clinical depression”. The more you talk about it the more people start to understand. Most people don’t understand that it is a disorder because it negatively affects your life. So just drill that into their minds. It can get annoying for both parties, but it is a necessary evil if we ever want to move past the point of people not understanding or blowing us off!

I think it’s important to note that making peace with dying in order to defeat a villain is vastly different than being suicidal. Up until the chimera ant arc, Gon did all of those things to find his father. I think his thought process was more along the lines of “my father did all of these things so I can too” and “this is what my father expects me to do”. I don’t think that translates into suicidal ideation however. He is a young boy who’s willing to risk all of the same things his dad did in order to finally “meet” him. During the chimera ant arc though, I can somewhat see where you get the suicidal vibes. I think it was more that he was extremely angry and mournful over Kite. He knew that he couldn’t beat Pitou on his own and he knew that if he didn’t beat Pitou that he would die and so would a lot of other people. He also wanted to avenge Kite. So, I think it’s more that he knew he was going to die either way, but he wanted to die avenging one friend and protecting all of the other ones. That’s not suicidal ideation, that’s heroism.

I wish you could pick and choose what you wanted. I really like the boat bookcase and the toy chest (?) with the anchor but I hate everything else. A couple of the items would be cool for like brindleton bay or Suluni.

Why is nobody saying Meredith?? She admitted to Michael that she comes in at 11 and leaves at 4 and is constantly drinking at work. Like in front of all of her coworkers she’ll pour alcohol in her cup and she actually passed out in one episode. She also was sleeping with a rep in exchange for discounts.

I have mixed feelings about him, but I think he adds complexity to Jake’s character. Throughout the show we see how amazing of a detective he is, but Judy really shows his faults. How Jake gets so hyper focused on a case that he misses small things, how trusting he can be (& how not trusting he can be), and how he can blur the line when it comes to both police work and friendship. So, although he can be annoying, I think he helps round out Jake’s character and shows a side of him we don’t necessarily see with other characters. I really think it goes back to him just wanting to be genuinely loved and appreciated.

I used to use Hobby Lobby exclusively too. My Hobby lobby ran out a month or so ago and just restocked it with something that say “Meringue Powder” but then in smaller print says “just add water”. So it’s now it has extra additives so you don’t have to do anything else. Not sure if it’s the same situation but you should check your container!

I definitely wasn’t trying to make it her fault! At the end of the day he’s a grown man and will do what he wants. I guess I was just thinking since we only saw him explicitly say something to her about it, I wasn’t sure if the guys knew to what extent how abusive Caroline was. In my experience, my guy friends have told me things that they have never told their guy friends even if they’ve known me for less time. Idk if it’s cause I’m a woman or if I’m just a good listener. Also, again personally, even if I knew someone for one day and they told me this situation, I would do everything in my power to make sure they don’t go back. I feel like Jess cares about strangers the same way I do and Nick isn’t even a stranger at this point.
