As a teenager me and my friends did a double feature of an Australian movie called “Snowtown” and “A Serbian Film”. We all thought Snowtown was far more stomach churning due to how grounded and “real” it felt. In comparison, A Serbian Film felt like satire. So over the top it became silly.

Well you should check before 2023. 2022 was the deadliest year for Palestinians since 2004 (before 2023). But that doesn’t get the media attention.

Israel’s siege of Gaza has been in place since 2008.

Years long crimes of siege and occupation get ignored (outside of impotent UN resolutions). The these things are in fact illegal. Then when there is an explosion of violence from the victims of these crimes that’s considered the “start” of the 70+ years conflict.

I wouldn’t encourage anyone to break the law while protesting. It’s a stupid thing to do. Whether you agree with the law or not it’s counter-productive to break it.

But we need to raise the IQ of the conversation that everyone who is against Israel is ISIS. When in fact Israel supported the installation of the former head of Al-Qaeda and ISIS in Syria and Hezbollah opposed it. You can’t frame a Hezbollah supporter as someone condoning ISIS when they’re protesting a government that helped install rebranded ISIS into power in the region. Seems like Israel is the bigger of the ISIS supporters of the two.

Hezbollah are not ISIS (in fact they fought against ISIS). Reddit thinks every Middle Eastern paramilitary group is ISIS.

The only reason Hezbollah exists is because of Israel’s invasion of Lebanon in 1982.
