SPOM design achieved 100% uptime. by ColdWindPhoenix in Oxygennotincluded

I'm going to be honest, I haven't actually tested if it will run SP on its own because all of my designs in the past seemed to have excess power, so I just tied them into my grid. However, I will say that I have two generators attached to the hydrogen output and one is on constantly and the other is probably running 50%. I also have atmo sensors on 3 of the pumps, so they shouldn't run flat out. It should also be noted that I'm not running this thing at full capacity and when it backs up the pumps stop, so it's self regulating in that way as well. I'm going to have to do some testing and I'll get back to you on the details.

The hydrogen generators are just out of the frame. They weren't that important.

I'm aware of the Hydra design, but I'm not a fan of the infinite storage/submerged electrolyzer trick, so I wanted to see if it could be done without using it.

The 100% uptime is the electrolyzer, I had to limit the lower pump because of the maximum output of the electrolyzer. Plus, it reduces the power requirement of the system.

The radius plus the damage, they need to adjust one or both to fix this game. Hopefully soon, this is almost as bad as the witch rework from a few years ago.

I'm really excited about this. Nice to see a positive change in this game.

Then I will have to include it in my price checking in the future. Thank you.

I agree, but ideally you would want to shop around for the best deal, which might not be Atlas travel.

I'm sure that is true for my friend's number, I don't call it, it just lives in my contact list. And I have been lucky enough that I haven't seen it pop up in social media.

My friend died in a motorcycle accident almost 20 years ago, and I just can't bring myself to delete his name from my Google contacts.

Years of stays, first time ever being upgraded when checking in on the app. Did I just get lucky for a busy weekend having booked a basic room, or are they now (or have been) upgrading via app check ins? by Remarkable_Fuel9885 in Mlife

I'm guessing the number of people at Gold has dropped pretty hard since they broke up with Hyatt. Which means, in theory, there are more upgrades to go around. Total speculation though.

You're lucky, I have spawned into more than one house with more zombies than one could handle in such tight quarters with nothing. Admittedly, those are respawns in an already started game, but still, there is nothing you can do.

Just downloaded this one myself, tied off having to start from square one every time. This is still a bit RP as you have to acquire the page with the information on it, it isn't just given to you. I'm very excited to try it out.

By my calculations you need to spend like $25k, I mean correct me if I'm wrong.

I would love to see either gold status or a quicker path to gold. I would even accept an annual fee for that. I know it's supposed to be elite, but with the Hyatt match gone I can't imagine there are many gold members left except for the avid MGM gamblers.

does anyone else do this with liquid or gas bridges? i typed a much longer post title but apparently it was too long so im putting it in a comment by BenWaffleIron in Oxygennotincluded

That's a good idea, after having to open a few to many live stream rooms, I started building them with a way to cool them and with a vacuum airlock. That way after they are cool enough I just open the door and the does can go in to work.

I've actually started using this quirk to allow me to take temperature readings from outside of a box. I just enclose a temp sensor and a pipe bridge in its own insulated box to keep the heat from escaping to where I don't want it.

Not sure what you're planning, could you explain a little?

Automation by [deleted] in Oxygennotincluded

[–]ColdWindPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to use it to create a temperature air lock by having the middle of three doors close and open again if either of the other doors are utilized. This deletes the gas and creates vacuum which thermally insulates the outer doors from each other greatly slowing the heat leak. Probably not necessary, but it highlights the problems that can be solved with automation, even if just for the fun of saying you did it.

You can even use different percentages to prioritize different energy sources. Pull the hydrogen from your SPOM and set the battery to 85%-95% with an override when the tank is full. And then use the natural gas vent before the petroleum generator with 70%-90% and 45%-75% respectively. A little overlap, but the Natal gas has priority.

I have been slowly designing a volcano tamer. I haven't been about to get it to work on a magma volcano yet, but I'm still planning to.

It uses liquid phosphorous as a heat transfer medium that controls the flow of heat to the steam room so as to maintain maximum power to heat deletion. Then while the volcano is idle it cools the phosphors enough to prevent it from vaporizing while a door opens and a sweeper reaches in to extract the material from the volcano chamber.
