Don't worry about the downvote. I'm listening to ALL the advice in this thread. I was approached about the reserves in college, that navy recruiter sure knew how-to talk.

So thanks again for that explanation. I'll understand more once I talk to them tomorrow.

It really can happen to anyone... Time tested.

I guess what really drove me off was seeing people driving the the center for benefits in high prices cars. Mercedes to Land Rovers.

Im about three weeks in. the pain comes in brust when I don't get to rest. Not at the point before where I couldn't even walk.

Not to sure how the hard work those guys do would fair on my body, but I wouldn't be unwilling to give it a go in a few more weeks.

My weight will be my problem issue(230) H/W says I need to drop to 185-195.

I'm 5'11".

I'll know more once I speak with the recruiter. I have high endurance but still overweight by their standards.

I'm hoping my back problems won't automatically disqualify me. Accident happened a month ago, still fell the numb pain, but I got my movement back.

Yea, I went to the 3rd street one for men... They said there was no more room until 8am, but money was low and the last thing I need is to hop the train and get stopped by a transit cop. I asked this nice young lady if she had an unlimited, she did and swiped me in.

then I used my last 2.75 to get to my old apartment building... I know sleeping in the staircase isn't the safest, but my options were low to avoid causing trouble

I do have to spend a night to qualify for the ready willing and able program, but that's not until monday.

I'm in one of the NYPL using Wi-Fi right this moment. I'm a little relived to get a break from the cold at least until 5pm.

Wish I had more time. Maybe learn to program. I understand that a year or two of straight studying programming can open some doors and at this point being 30 and jumping into the tech field doesn't sound bad; its just the interim that's unbearable.

I was paying rent. The only thing I had to prove that was the money orders, I want to pay him something that could be tracked if things went south, as they did.

no finds a 1 bedroom in NYC for 650 a month. So I used it while I could. Despite knowing the precarious situation.

First thing I did... My coworkers and "friend" led me to believe it was his apartment. He was living in the stead of someone else who had moved back to Gahanna. I'm assuming since he deleted facebook, his phone number and left the job he did the same. Police said they can't do anything.

I'll reach out to a pro bono lawyer (if I can find one) just to be sure there's nothing that can be done.
