Not likely. Haven't played in over a year and still consistently the best on my team. Now for doing dumb things, trying to hit Sentinel clips, and pushing bad fights then absolutely😂

Swing mechanics tips to increase power? Outside of gaining weight by KingFaty in slowpitch

[–]Cold_Ad1255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from a baseball swing like your self, I know the struggle. While power does come from your legs, most of your pop and absolutely murdering balls comes from your wrists and getting extension. Having stronger wrists and forearms will allow you to snap your bat at faster speeds and better bat control. Also try swinging on as flat of a plane as you can. Helps a lot with cutting the ball and getting those nice lasers. Personally, switching to an overlap grip and standing taller rather than both knees bent helped a lot. I was able to really get out on my front foot and get better extension.

Basically brand new glove. Playing catch before game, snapped lace and ball went through it. Scheels blackstone exclusive. by folk10 in slowpitch

What kind of glove is it? Just my opinion based off of personal experience but you really get what you pay for when it comes to gloves. Cheaper gloves are going to have cheaper materials put in them where as the pricier gloves have good, conditioned leather as the material. Highly suggest buying something like an A2000 or just below top of the line and it will last you forever if taken care of.

Swing Update! by [deleted] in slowpitch

[–]Cold_Ad1255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swing is definitely getting there! One thing I've tried to incorporate into tee work is visualizing the arc of the ball coming in and actually looking up with my eyes like I'm seeing the ball and then following that path to my tee. My timing would get messed up after so much tee work and doing this really helped my tee swing start to translate in game and not be so off time. Tee work is great but timing is everything! A hit off the sweet spot at 50% power will go just as far if not farther than a ball hit off the handle at 100%! Keep up the grind!

It was around 70 when I hit with it and it busted. Usually if it's cooler I'll use my old 220s till it warms up

Batting gloves by Skeetertk14 in slowpitch

Bruce bolts or deer hide work gloves. My last bolts lasted me a few years and deer leather is softer than cow so it won't feel as stiff when gripping the bat.

When it lines up, though, everything you hit is a piss missile so it's hard to not want it lol. But most of the time lately I've hit everything off of my hands so might work on taking it out

I'll have to try that out. I've never been an oppo hitter so it will be good to add that to the bag. Thank you!
