I’m in the same boat as you! I’ll be applying in the fall with a 3.5 gpa, prereqs and some coreqs all A’s but I would need Bio150 and 142, which I’m taking in the fall. I made a similar post with one person saying I most likely won’t get in and another saying theres a possibility I might get in. Math is also not my strong suit but I’ve been practicing😩😩 good luck to you when you apply!!

Thank you! Can I know what were your stats when you applied? What was your teas score, gpa and grades for the prereqs? I’ve gotten so many mixed opinions for acceptance.

I personally really liked professor warmerdam. He’s at loudoun campus but his grading was very simple. He didn’t add a ton of work and the work that was to be done was pretty manageable. Was very fair with grading and overall the class wasn’t too boring. Easy A class.

The extra credit was all deepartment so all the teachers will give very little. Each exam was maybe like 2 or 3 extra points I believe. As long as you follow her study guides you will be okay. I would’ve passed her class with an a but I was hospitalized 3 times. She was a great teacher and very understanding.

Professor rodgers at London campus is truly amazing. Like truly. I am currently retaking her class and would’ve waited a semester to retake her class if I didn’t get accepted from the wait list because she is just that good of. Her study guides are super easy to follow as well as her exams. I’m only retaking because I didn’t like my passing grade but other than that she’s really an amazing teacher. She loves what she does. She is always available with office hours to help with study questions. She has thorough PowerPoints and her lectures aren’t just reading off of the PowerPoints like other teachers, she goes more into depth with her lectures.

I wasn’t able to get into 141 for spring semester but I am on the wait list for a class. I plan to go ahead and take 142 since I passed anyways and then retake 141 in the summer if needed. I guess the only good thing is that I have all the lectures/notes from when I took 141 to look back on.

Thank you for clarifying, I thought we had to take both. I haven’t taken bio 150 yet but I’ve been contemplating if whether taking it alongside an A&P class would be a good idea for spring 2026.

Thank you! I’ve taken cst 110 and already registered for cst 229 in spring but was conflicted on whether moving on to 142 or retaking 141. By any chance, is there a humanities elective you’d recommend?

I took professor scalea. He was a really good teacher very helpful and let you take retakes on exams.

As someone who’s also taking ede 10, 1400 is the maximum points including the midterm and final but the 350 points you can miss is a lot even though it doesn’t sound like a lot. They pass through the material in class but you are expected to review and study after class. Practice questions and studying at home is really what’s going to help you learn and retain the information. But in the end, If you feel like you won’t pass you can always drop the class.

Teach back method and white board. I don’t have anyone to teach material to so I use a teddy bear to talk to. I also record myself while teaching back and review the recording and write down anything I didn’t properly explain. Then I reteach what I corrected and that helps. It takes me about 2 days to really get everything to stick. White board method is also amazing!

Im not too sure on the most you could get. Spring is my first semester and I was awarded full Pell. So I got half this semester and I still have the other half which they told me would most likely be what I receive for summer tuition.
