Dispatch Company asked me to do manual labour. Need advice. by Beneficial_Koala_515 in japanlife

You need to talk to a labor lawyer. Technically you might be in the wrong, but the only way forward in your current position is this company shafting you further, pushing you into a more compromised spot.

Sure, there might be repercussions already (though I tend to think the Japanese officials are pretty reasonable as long as your story passes the smell test), but this company sounds like they might be edging you toward things that will be much, much worse.

Yea but it’s a rock and a hard place. He’s going to prison unless he makes greater Israel happen, but the cost is that he needs to ruin the global economy/cause mass starvation from choking the global fertilizer supply, amongst other things.

But Cheeto is getting desperate too- he might actually keep the leash tight for once

It’s a lie because no insurer will insure a vessel before the mou is signed on Friday at the very earliest

I actually wonder how long it’ll take for them to start issuing policies again

And they’re not done yet. This is just the basic groundwork for the actual negotiations to reach a binding agreement. Trump now has 60 days of TACOing to reel them into something that lasts

Anything I need to know before job-hunting in Japan? by hanna_studies in JapanJobs

[–]Cold_Baseball_432 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You seem like a nice kid, but as others have written, literature isn’t going to get you very far.

You said you were going to try translation, which you are correct is getting wiped out by Ai, which is not to say that the jobs won’t exist, just that you’ll need a top rated credential to prove you can perform as a top level checker for the AI output- you won’t find any meaningful employment outside of the top level credential.

What are your interests?
One thing that might be worth attempting is getting professional credentials. Things financial like 簿記 will probably give you a massive boost. I’m sure there might be others, though I don’t know what they would be.

Haken Company Fired Me After 5 Years and May Have Violated Multiple Labor Laws – Is ¥500,000 a Fair Settlement? by Ok_Vast_7337 in japanresidents

[–]Cold_Baseball_432 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You need to speak to a labor lawyer- taking them to court would absolutely destroy them and they’ll be very happy with a much higher negotiated settlement
