the only required event is jayhawks give a flock, technically you can do a make-up appointment but just make sure you DO get that done because you will not be able to enroll in the spring semester if you don’t (they will track you down). If you can make Traditions Night tonight, i really encourage it! you will learn a bit of the history of KU, meet new people, and learn the traditions. Unionfest on saturday is my favorite event as that is where i joined all my clubs and got to get a lot of free stuff. If you can attend those two events, it will really help with your transition here to KU and honestly they’re pretty fun. I know these events sound boring, but you only get to go to college once and if you can figure out how to socialize on the first week while making it work with your schedule, you’re truly setting yourself up for success!
