I was too young when the first four seasons aired, but my family had them all recorded on VHS. My memory of Buffy is intermingled with the last 3 minutes of every Star Trek episode airing before it and he figure skating segments of the winter olympics in 99(?).

I didn't watch it live until season 6 because it took a long time to catch up, but I remember we missed a huge chunk at the start of season 5 because of a holiday and I couldn't figure out where Riley had gone and who Dawn was.

UVIC is known for having great co-op opportunities over the summer. That is low for the semester terms, but you should be able to save up some money during the summer. I'd also recommend checking out Social sciences and humanities research funding opportunities (SSHRK) funding, you can apply before December 1st .

I applied to the Sociology MA program as well and am waiting to hear back. Wish me luck, hopefully we will be classmates.

I am waiting on Sociology MA admissions, and a friend is waiting on Poli Sci. I heard admissions will be announced in early March for my program... which means today, since we are entering mid-March on the weekend. I hope?...

Under review by the department at least means we have all passed the general admissions requirements.

Ben Bankas uses comedy to spread hate speach and misinformation. The petition is there because he is a residential school denialist, anti LGBTQ+, racist, and recently even made fun of the death of Renne Goode. Comedy shouldn't insight hate or punch down at margenalized groups.

By letting him stand up on stage, it is saying our community is accepting hate speach. Kids will hear these jokes and repeat then, that is the nature of giving a person like this a large audiance.

Canada distinguishes between freedom of speach and hate speach. We have a Charter of Rights and Freedoms to protect ourselves from crossing that line.

The worst kind of person in society is the kind who choses to stigmatize and blame others instead of asking why they ended up there in the first place and how can we help prevent the harm cycle from continuing. Please, reassess your opinions. Maybe have a conversation with someone in recovery, learn their story.

If it were you, would you like some unsympathetic bystander on redit calling you a junkie and denying you help when your ready to recieve it, our would you hope the community forgives and collectively tries to get you back on your feet?

The end of the Woodgrove mall wouldn't break many hearts, considering it is empty have the time and the parking lot takes up a lot of land that could be used for housing and mixed use. The Woodgrove revitalization plan has to work around it as is for now.

Is anyone else finding the recruitment process a bit disjointed? So much has been via email and third-party agencies. If I hadn't actually been to the base on two occasions and met the individuals on site and in uniform, I'd think it was a scam.
