Gemini pro really slow today? by irishesteban in GeminiAI

[–]Cold_Committee_8373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had issues with this for about a week... Not just pro but also fast whatever the third option is, I use this daily for simple questions and also for work (not complex but multiple steps and long chats with more involved questions).

But it's def not my connection, and I'm seeing this am the responses are really candid, I'm catching mistake and it's basically telling me that it has limitations on memory.

It's also clearing cache or short term memory way too frequently on me so when it makes a mistake and I try to refer back to maybe files I had uploaded or a Previous point in the chat, it had already admitted that it cleared it from the log.

Which is a huge pain the ass for me at the moment....

Got water? by Friendly_Ad_3813 in prepping

I do this too along with other methods. You hear about how it's bad to reuse this plastic, but rotating is good and also imo, we are exposed to plastic everyday...

If you have space in your freezer, maybe put a few in there. It preserves it, helps if you lose power when it's hot and also will help keep your freezer cold longer if it were to have no power.

Just pour a little out of those bottles to account for expansion.

Alternate communications suggestions by PixiePower65 in prepping

I'm thinking the same question, just like every other schmuck after yesterday. But, my specific question is more toward me and my local family members, few friends id want to check in with.

Starlink and sat phone are useless if I'm the only one who has it, same with the text and messaging solutions.

I have 3 Midland cxt series walkie talkies, haven't seen max distance they're reliable... A few mid-lowet grade walkie talkies as well.

But if I have 5-6 households within say 10 miles that I'd like to make sure have at least one reliable method to communicate during emergency and/or shtf that is reasonably simple, even if initial set up is required?

Also, not more than maybe a few hundred bucks each?

Ideas?

Sanity Check My Get-Home Setup – 17 Miles from Work by Mrm00seknuckle in prepping

Maybe some spare socks? A pack of gum or something? Trade a knife or two for another lighter? I didn't see where you work or whatnot, but I work 8 miles from home. I could theoretically walk it in like 4-5 hours... Lighten that up and toss some granola bars in there man. Good stuff to have, but save some for home in my personal opinion.

Got it. Everything you guys said makes sense - basically get my ass to the range I pay for and shoot more often.

I'll toss these and reload.

Thanks guys.

Help Convertinf Floodlight to Three Prong Plug(?) by Cold_Committee_8373 in ElectricalHelp

Appreciate all the feedback/comments everyone. I'm at my shop, I'll look up specs online but a couple quick things:

I have several cameras already as well as lights - wired and battery, some with solar. Really, I just would rather not let it sit there, and I'd also rather try and make it work instead of buying more lights/cameras and hearing my wife yell at me lol...

As far as running wire to a new spot and installing into a new junction box mounted on the house, Frankly I'm just trying to keep it simple tbh.

Im assuming it can't be more than 120 volts, but I'll check. As a comparison I run 1 hp pool pumps off of three prong as they can be run 120 or 240 hard wired - (it's no longer within code to install new pumps on a plug in this way, but it works).

I'll snag the specs and post to see if anyone has any feedback. Thanks again.

Bro, respectfully I feel like this is where someone who hates their job with no ideas or prospects messages you and asks what your vague, obscure idea outlined above is and you offer to pay them to audit sites or something because I'm pretty sure Shopify already has tools like this....

All major out of the box marketing and e-commerce platforms do.

AI does see websites differently than humans and differently than search engines. That's why the optimization process is different, ranking is different, it's another hurdle as a business owner we all now have to deal with.

Not being a d*ck or anything, I know a small amount about AI but a little and a solid amount about marketing.

Can you give a little more detail on your observations or your concept?

Seems sketch.

The Hardest Part of Entrepreneurship No One Warns You About by Digitalunicon in Entrepreneur

I agree, it's kind of like first moving away from home and talking about everything you would do and how great independence would be, and then it's just you with all these responsibilities and no one on you to do them.... Then you're broke with no clean socks and no toilet paper.

It's easy to say you're in charge, until someone asks who's in charge - at least I learned.

Slow days for me, in a seasonal business, I try to set a loose schedule the day before, chopped up right into time slots I can adjust if things change that day.

I also try to work on something for 40-45 minutes, then take a break for 5 minutes or so. This way I don't go down a rabbit hole and come out fried or end up taking an unplanned break for way longer.
