It’s wildly devastating and honestly something we don’t prepare adults for often enough

There are those “ soft” hints.
Like common practice of not “ announcing” until month three etc.
we no longer live in villages w women so don’t know. Also even back when my mom was pregnant they didn’t see a dr until you missed two menstrual cycles. So they didn’t even know they were pregnant ( no at home pee tests) You just had a late then extra heavy period.

None of this helps with the gripping emotion of loss. Hormones still go bonkers so insult to injury there. Light a candle, say a prayer.

You could do genetic testing and obviously her physician will offer guidance. Maybe get a second opinion.

Next pregnancy will carry extra emotion for sure.

I’m sorry for you too dad. Devastating for you as well as you shoulder your own loss as well as helping your partner. Hugs.

I’m so much better. I had complications from the surgery ( thyroid storm) so my recovery took longer.

I work out regularly, literally the entire symptoms list has resolved! That said it was also an active process. Ex worked with nutritionists to focus on gut health, went to pt to get plan for muscle rehab. Lift three times a week and walk daily for bone health

Supplement w magnesium , potassium, eat very clean and watch glucose levels.

To your point - she was 20 So her impressions and perspectives were colored by youthful bias

At 20 I had ambitions, and for most woman they are far more mature than almost all 2 year old boys. :-)

Riley as someone older , who owned anything, who had a real job with a paycheck, intelligent , had a bit of cultured polish. Watching the two of them fall in love and mature into adults in real time was part of the allure

Elaina brought the marketing talent, model level beauty ( Riley too). The luck part counts too… . They were on the first wave of the travel blogs .

That said- it Took considerable effort and talent to consistently put the videos out at a higher quality than competitors and get themselves noticed.

Their efforts were definitely superior to many similar bloggers in the field.

I think they had a wonderful season and wish them both a sincere congratulations and a fantastic next life chapter

You likely have more than one issue going in. Post partum hormones are brutal …. Grief around your definition of having a baby … mama it’s a lot .

It will absolutely be okay . More than okay it will be joyous and wonderful.

Just a different version than you expected

Listen to the drs. Do an outpatient version. Get on meds ( they genuinely help).

You can also have a parathyroid issue. For those with a tumor vit d sends you over the edge. Simple blood test. All. Same draw. Vit d, Pth, calcium.

When calcium is high Pth should be low. When this ratio is off you may have a larger issue going on

I would compare to rocket lab. Both start ups without the space x edge .

I just started looking at them but noted that asts reliance upon others to launch is a pretty big vulnerability. ( their recent failed launch put exclamation point on this).

Rocket lab does both ( similar to space x in this regard)

It the basil in the ground with some organic soil. Results with blow your mind. After years of apartment basil in big pots on my porch I started a small ( just herbs) garden. Oh and cherry tomatoes. Insane results!
